@rinsider I meet my wife when I was in my 40s , we do hold hands for the first year and after getting married and our first child we stop doing that. Occasionally, she’ll hold on to my upper arm but only for a short while as I can feel it’s a bit uncomfortable for both of us. Been almost 20 years now with 3 children and that feeling hasn’t changed. Frankly, I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I’m 20 years her senior

RE: Bento meals for Hwa Chong students prepared by SATS draw criticism online
@thebottomsupblog the food doesn’t look too appetizing from the photos not too sure about the taste. Children being children even if the food is supposed to be healthier, appearance and taste matters most. Therefore, if it isn’t yummy will end up in the trash.

RE: How do you maintain your relationship with your spouse?
@MsHuppy For the last 20 years Valentine have never been a special day with my wife as we are too catchup with our children and no special outing or dinner celebration as a couple. I still do buy gift or a red pack each year for my wife just to ensure her that she is loved and appreciated on this special day.
I hope to do something special for her this year on but not sure where to start, my wife is a China national and quite difference from our local mind set. Any members have the same situation like me and could share some suggestions ?

RE: How do you maintain your relationship with your spouse?
@thebottomsupblog , yes I miss those times when the family would watch a movie on CD bought from Malaysia and smart TV was not common. Now a days everyone watches their own preferred movies on their Ipad, laptop or mobile phone, TV is usually only watched in the morning for news. Though we do share about the movies we watch and recommend each other but it just not the same . We make an effort to go to the cinema together once in a while but not easy to agree on the movie

RE: How do you maintain your relationship with your spouse?
@thebottomsupblog My wife and I have been marriage for almost 19 years, and we have not travelled without our kids too. Usually, we talk about holidays plans at the beginning of the year, but nothing gets confirmed till the last minute. All the hotels’ bookings keep changing and finally my wife make the decision and we go. Now adays it’s a bit more difficult to plan as my older boy’s poly holidays are difference dates from primary and secondary school. Our only private time is morning breakfast at the coffee shop but there seems fewer common topics we can discuss.
