I understand that the above mentioned schools are not the popular choices discussed in this forum but if I can only choose between these 2, which will be better and why?

RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools
Hi,
I’m shifting to Bishan soon and need to do a transfer for my son, nearby schools are Kuo Chuan Presbyterian and Guangyang Primary. I’ve submitted application to Kuo Chuan but understand that chances of getting in are very slim.
My friend suggested me to try applying at Maris Stella which is located at Bartley, saying that chances may be higher than Kuo Chuan as it’s a boys’ school. My hubby thinks that its troublesome to travel to school by bus and have to leave house much earlier compared to going to a school within walking distance. He suggested to go Guangyang instead.
Thus would like to seek some advice here as to which to choose. Thanks! -
RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers
Hi,
Would greatly appreciate any recommendation of a good piano teacher with proven track records and reasonable rate for my ger. She had passed her Grade 1 and is halfway thru her Yamaha Piano Course for Children (4 yr group course). Her teacher commented that my ger is lacking behind in both theory and practical. Suggested that we changed her to individual class. However the available slots are not suitable for our timing.
Thus, I'm looking for a good private teacher. I'm staying in Tampines. Please pm me the details. Thanks a lot! -
RE: Any advise? My ger lacking behind in piano class...
Hi Waiyean,
She’s 10. She does practise at home but not very frequent due to her school work and CCA. Her music teacher said she feels that my ger is diligent but unable to grasp the knowledge well. So she suggest individual coaching. -
Any advise? My ger lacking behind in piano class...
Hi,
My ger has been attending Yamaha Piano Course for Children (4 yrs course) for 2 yrs plus and has passed her first grade.
Recently, her music teacher said that she was unable to catch up with the rest for both theory and practical. Suggested to change her to individual lesson in Yamaha.
I'm not sure if I should do as what the teacher suggest or to get her a private teacher. Not sure if the rates differ much? Would appreciate any kind advise.
Also, if you have any recommendation on good private teacher teaching in Tampines area, please pm me. Thanks! :thankyou: -

Hi Mummies,
For those who decided to enrol their kids to Soka, pls share what good abt this sch?
Cos I cun decide whether to enrol my girl for K1 next year. Heard their teaching methods are project based different from other sch (eg St Hilda's Kindergarten) and no spelling at all . Thus don know the kids are well prepared to primary 1?
Pls advise me to make decision.
