About Myself
I started teaching piano part-time more than 15 yrs ago at a famous music school. Within a few years, I received numerous requests from students to provide them with private teaching/ coaching. I have since given up my full-time job to fully immerse myself in full-time piano teaching - as I simply love this job so much!

Over the years, I have forged wonderful friendships with many of my students, seeing them grow up from disinterested adolescences (who could not even sit still for more than 5min in front of the piano), to great piano enthusiasts now.

My greatest intrinsic gratification comes from hearing the melodious tunes played by my students on the piano, and seeing them appreciating their own music.

I play the piano and I teach the piano, with my heart....

Do private piano teachers collect fees up front or per lesson basis?

Some collect beginning and some end on per month basis. There are also some who will charge per lesson and collect on the lesson day

Would greatly appreciate any recommendation of a good piano teacher with proven track records and reasonable rate for my ger. She had passed her Grade 1 and is halfway thru her Yamaha Piano Course for Children (4 yr group course). Her teacher commented that my ger is lacking behind in both theory and practical. Suggested that we changed her to individual class. However the available slots are not suitable for our timing.

Hi, I am looking for a private female piano teacher near Punggol for my 9years old girl. Currently, she is with Yamaha (JNC). She has finished JMC & JXC (total 4yrs) with Yamaha. She has passed her ABRSM theory Grade 1 exam last year and Yamaha practical exam too. As I wish to let her take ABRSM exam, so I need to switch her to private lesson.

congratulations to you and children! 4 yrs with Yamaha JNC/JXC plus finishing ABSRM Grade 1 and Yamaha exam is an accomplishment for both parent and child.. we are still on year 3, so we still have 1 year and 3 terms to go

suggest that you find a piano teacher who is familiar with both the Yamaha way of teaching and the ABSRM focused style of teaching, this way you can get the best of both worlds.. or at least a piano teacher who respects different types of piano teachin.. (e.g. an ABSrM focused teacher who may not be familiar with Yamaha way of teaching, but respects Yamaha way as well-- so whatever your dd learned in Yamaha wont be negated )
