This is going to be a highy charged event, not sure if it will pose as a danger to Singapore....Trump and Kim will be protected by plenty of their own agents both visible and non visible....dunno if there will be assassins lurking in the crowd biding their chance to shoot/bomb/poison the \"other\" leader, also dunno if there's any offshore missile pointing at singapore.....

just hope that everything goes smoothly so that the singapore reputation will not be 毁于一旦 as well. :yikes: :nailbite:

I thought that primary schs have already taught the students not to write the "…所以他最近总是迟到" as there’s no longer the necessity to repeat the question?

What i mean is that if the question ask "为什么。。。“，students just need to 直截了当answer "因为。。。” and there’s no need to add the 所以 part…

Hence I’m a little confused with your recommendation…can you pls clarify?

Ha, this is my last line of defence agst the hp...I'm planning to hold off data plan as much as I can.....lucky for now,
DS sort of just accepted our NO and did not keep coming to us and did not kick up a big fuss....I want it to stay this way!

I don't give data plan to DS at all, his school has free wifi, if he's outside, he uses SG wireless whenever he can link up...
at home, he just uses the home wifi.

After hp being kept away, usu after 10-15mins, DS would come to me and said that he need his hp to \"check something with friends\"...that something could be details for homework, or advice on how to do some questions, or even checking with teachers on the instructions given before....pattern liao-liao one....After giving the hp and if I walk into the room after 15mins, I see him swiping Instagram or watching youtube. :frustrated: :mad:
In pri school, he was totally not like this, when we said stop, he would stop and go back to his work, now too much distractions from all these watsapp groups...Actually we had agreed with him before giving him the hp (he did not even carry a phone in pri school at all) that he needed to abide by our agreed time out/hands-off period....that time he agreed so readily, now is 抛到九霄云外 already. I even asked the form teachers if I can take away his phone, but teachers said that in sec school, one of the mediums of dispensing instructions and info is via hp......so indirectly, the teachers are telling me hp is very important...and somemore must smart phone bcos no using sms....all via watsapp. I am open for DS to be using his hp so long as he does not display addiction and is behaving responsibly towards school work and exams....that's the 底线 for me. Still monitoring him, maybe when my 底线 is being stepped, I hv to just ban his phone for a longer period?

Same-same...my DS is a very ave kid...I always tell him, \"average learner can still make up with good attitude\", but ave learner and not good attitude, that's like a double whammy to his learning.
I also tell him \"when u decide to be serious abt your learning, u will realise u hv missed it and some things just cannot rewind\"....so I hv also analysed things for him...but then again, left ear in, right ear out.
I can only hope he sees his light earlier than later....other than this, I cannot make magic or force things to happen, just make sure maintain good r/nship with DS and at least, he's still sharing with me things that are happening to him in school, in cca, in his social circles....

He is still continuing playing games over the time limit we set for them & we hv to constantly monitor n remind him.

Same-same, this is wat we do, however, like I said, if he refuses to abide, I also cannot just snatch it away, got to nag-nag-nag....but then too much nagging also warrant his wrath...so always like tug-of-war
