Coaching classes for ballet RAD at Moving Arts at Bishan starts in August. Therefore it works out to around 8 months of coaching classes. This is at junior levels only. Other centers usually run coaching classes between 3 to 6 months only. If you do not take the coaching classes, you cannot take exams. It does give the impression that Moving Arts teachers are not confident of their teaching abilities. They seem to require a lot more time to coach the kids to produce the same results as other centers.
Coaching classes also means extra fees (2x) and extra lesson applies (twice a week) for 8 months every year.

RE: Catholic High (Primary)
How is the chs culture? Do the teachers encourage students to ask questions if they are unsure?
Are the teachers happy to answer questions from parents?
Seems like most of them are very fierce and unapproachable. -
RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers
I am also interested in looking for a recommendation. Pref lady teacher and either Bishan or AMK area.
My child currently take piano lessons from a private teacher at Blk 31, Bishan Loft. She stopped lessons in December and hasn’t resumed since despite numerous follow-up calls from us. She cited the Dec holidays, then start of school, then CNY,…as reasons. Is it normal for a piano teacher to stop lessons for 3 mths, with no start date in view? Anyone has the same experience? I really don’t know how long more I have to wait. -

RE: Ai Tong
Can anyone tell me if it is very stressful in ai tong?
A friend who had a kid in Tao Nan said that his kid was expected to know everything and the teachers mainly did revision in class. Apparently, the kids in schools like ATS and TN will take enrichment classes and tuition in order to cope with school. Is this true? -
RE: [Bishan] Primary Schools
what would you do in this situation:
- eligible for ATS due to clan association. Live within 1 km but still need balloting.
- also eligible for KCPPS. guaranteed seat because did PV work.
take a chance at ATS or KCP? HELP! -
RE: Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary
Is it true that average PSLE results for KCPPS for the TOP 2 classes is 240 -250 only? That’s what a friend told me.
