      mummy of 3:

Last year, was ballot within 1km for all SC and PR... Y not enrol ur child in P2A2 1st then monitor Frontier for P2C?

Hi mummy of 3, my friend suggested that too. However, need my hubby to be at Rosyth on the last day of P2C to drop our registration at Rosyth before I can register at Fronter right? Do you know if this is instant - drop Rosyth register Frontier? I donno if this will cause hiccup to the enrolment or not resulting in no-school status for my gal.

yes, 2014 - next year registration. I am contemplating all my options of Rosyth vs Frontier. If Rosyth, i have to shift house. My hb is old boy.

Hi mummy of 3, with this yearโ€™s priority given to SC, those staying within 1km still need to ballot?

Hi qms, yes i have difficult decision to make. If i can get into Frontier with very high chance, i would volunteer as i do not wish to relocate even though i have 100% chance at Rosyth (my hubby is old boy). I am staying very close to my mum right now. If Frontier needs to ballot for SC < 1km and chances are much lower, i will have no choice but to relocate to Serangoon.

      Champion:

Hi! you are referring to the the % of Singapore Citizen for last year 2011?

Therefore, as of last year 278 applicants balloting for the 235 seats at Frontier Primary School, it is solely based on home-school distance category in the following order of priority - Children living within 1 km of the school of choice.
      Hi Champion,
Thanks for your reply. What i mean is, whether there is any source to find out how many SC are staying within 1km out of these 278 applicants.

From your reply, seems like ALL are staying within 1km? If that's the case, wouldn't it be more competitive for 2012 and 2013 registration? ๐Ÿ˜ž

What i'm trying to tabulate is my chance of entering Phase 2C as SC < 1km for 2013 registration.

I hope my question makes sense to you. ๐Ÿ™‚

      kabalevsky:

The P and VP of FPS are strong pull factors. The VP is very prompt in replying emails and queries. She replied me personally each time. The P gave a good first impression at the soft launch. Of course, these are PR skills and may not reflect on how the school will be like in future.

But I believe that if the leaders care about the parents' concerns and take efforts to welcome the parents and make them feel involved, it is a good start.
      Hi kabalevsky,
Glad to hear read your feedback. I am a hopeful for 2014 intake. Just wrote an email to FPS this morning and been waiting whole morning for a reply. Hopefully i get a response without waiting until hair drop off ๐Ÿ™‚

Is there any monitoring on % of 278 applicants who are SC staying within 1km for last yearโ€™s registration of Frontier Primary School?

      Kluvs:
Thanks everyone for the concerns and alerts raised. In my case, I have no fear of kid being disqualified due to abuse of system and misuse of address and this is precisely why I dare to raise the question openly in forum. So apparentally what I'm hearing is couple having 2 different addresses DO post an issue for primary school registration. This I will highlight to my husband tonight and 'forced' to change as we have been having different address for many years since marriage and it never is a concern to us till now. Thanks all..

Hi, i have the same situation as you. My add is still with my mum's house and never bothered to change all these years since i'm just down the same street after getting married. My hubby has changed his add since married. We are thinking of the school just below our block too. After reading the advices here, I think i should quickly change. My P1 registration is next year. Will there be any effect on me if my add change is only effective for 1 year?
