@Sonny7RG7 Happy to hear that you have made SNG as one of your choices. You can take note that if u are given a CO or WL from SNG, SNG will usually conduct a final info cum Q/A session for kids/parents close to the end of Oct, just before you access the DSA portal to accept and rank your DSA offers. In addition, if you are eventually accepted into SNG, please also note that SNG has the habit of starting their Sec 1 Orientation during the last week of Dec. So yes, it means that you have to plan your Dec vacation dates well. 🙂 🙂

Does that mean that SNGS can don’t accept you after the QnA even though they have given you the CO? Omg.

I’ve always thought that with CO, it’s 100% acceptance as long as you are eligible for the stream.

No it means that they give you a final chance to get all your doubts cleared in order for you to make an informed decision on accepting or rejecting the CO/WL.

Not sure if there has been any changes but couple of years back,it was just a regular math and science test. Son said it was easy.

For this year, only GEP and 4pointers were placed in iSpark.

      Hi parents,

My DS is keen to try HCI via DSA Maths as one of his 3 choices. He is a Gepper and Maths fanatic (for background info). I was wondering what difference will there be in terms of opportunities available to him if we compare him getting into HCI via DSA Maths vs PSLE. Is there a significant difference between those 2 pathways for the individual students? In addition, will there be any difference between Geppers and mainstream students in terms of class/program allocation (iSpark etc)? Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance! 🙏

Thanks. I saw the 孙文广one, but was hoping there were other smaller scale (and shorter time control) games around.

Friend's kid in Cat High yr 4 and entered through Humanities dsa, so it's not true that the school didn't have this dsa category then....I'm guessing there may be a lapse of info from your friend.

I have heard from a friend that her DS applied for DSA Music to Cat High, and the school counter offered him a CO in Humanities because the school said that they can see his potential not just in Music alone. And the principal also assured the parents that DS would still be able to attend MEP after joining the school because he has already demonstrated his suitability during the DSA audition. This was back when the school didn't have Humanities on their DSA list yet, and the child is currently in Year 4. Not sure how widespread this sort of practice is though. 🤷

Travelling with kids is such a disturbing story. Its funny sometimes but the rest of the time you are just like at some kind of job not vacantion.
