This debunks the decades-long myth and narrative that the ruling government has been spinning that the SG electorate votes based on race/ethnicity. We should be proud that we have proven them wrong tonight.

RE: Dedicated hp for banking

One can buy a dual SIM card mobile phone. Both Android and iPhone have those options. But it's a hassle to switch from one to another just to authorise the transaction!
is the intent for One phone for ibanking, singpass ,and 2nd hp for general usage eg mobile shopping etc ?
Need to carry two hps
which hp will do the normal general paynow, paypal google pay, china pay etc ?
I think I may be confused to have two hps for diff $ transactions needs,or leave the hp for sensitive banking n singpass purposes at home only, then not convenient le
Before the dual SIM card phones were prevalent, we used to carry 2 mobile phones abroad on holidays. One to insert the foreign pre-paid SIM card, the other to receive local SMSes.
During my last trip to France, I didn't carry 2 HPs. On the plane, I had taken out my local post-paid SIM card to switch to Vodafone unlimited roaming SIM card. When I used my HP to do mobile shopping in France (I wanted to buy online tickets), I realised my bank had sent the OTP to my Singapore SIM no! So I could not authorise the transaction via the Vodafone SIM.
Perhaps you can try using a Starhub prepaid card solely for mobile shopping and your M1 for the digital token alerts. However, most online shopping apps do not require any authorisation. Foodpanda is one of them! Shopee does require authorisation.
Taobao's authorisation is sent to my same HP that I used to sign up my Taobao account. There is no option to register an alternative HP no. at all for OTPs. This was why someone's nephew could buy many stuffs by playing with his aunt's Taobao app!

Yeah, same for a few other banks where both the bank app and the Digital Token are tied to the same one mobile no. There wasn't an option to register a different mobile no. for Digital Token as far as I could recall. The banks that I am using now have already upgraded to Digital Tokens, hence no more SMSes. So I no longer need to click any SMSes.
Is the 1st question an available option? For DBS and POSB, only 1 number can be registered for bank account and bank app, i.e. once that number is registered, SMS and OTP will be sent to that number only.
In any case, no matter how many prepaid SIM cards you have (though max 3 allowed now), they are all linked to your single NRIC that you've used to register them, aren't they? That means all 3 SIM nos are indirectly linked to your Singpass which is linked to your CPF, CDP, and local bank account accounts too.
The safest is to use your laptop via your secured WIFI network at home to make regular bill payments, and the mobile phone to receive your Digital Token OTPs, like in the old days when the physical tokens would generate OTP for you. -

Anyone of you have read statements by NEA or AVA on Japan releasing the Fukushima tritium waters into the Pacific Ocean tomorrow?
Is it ok to eat sushi and sashimi?
Why are the Singapore authorities keeping mum about it? Got the NTU academics to talk about it only.

Yes, I saw his comment that he would not submit his nomination if GG qualifies. I guess he now has to go ahead.
Yup. 3 only out of 6 applications. No idea who the other 2 are, but we hv at least 2 presentable candidates. Yday, there was a sly comment that one will step down if GG qualifies. I wld like to see if he does really put in action where his mouth is. GG wld be better than a sly fox.
GG's spoken Eng is too weak.
The tennis lover's beau is actually from a powerful & influential family from HK as well as China, if you trace her maternal roots back to the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong eras when her ancestor 张廷玉 was cabinet aide to the 3 emperors. She has been smeared by Chinese netizens on FB as 嫩草 because they do not know much about her \"tatler\" background. Maternal great granddad was a famous calligrapher who knew Zhou Enlai. Maternal granddad, a former Flying Tiger pilot of the Nationalist Army, owns Wheelock. He is also the \"godfather\" of many Greater China celebs.

RE: All About Overseas Education
I guess our NUS and NTU are not too bad either...NUS is No. 8 now on QS league table and No. 19 on THE table.
With both NUS and NTU in the top 50 of both QS and THE, your child can easily get a visa to work in the UK!

But nowadays, there are pasta sauces in sachets, e.g. the Wafu style ones. Carry in your backpack not tote bags.
yes but in the UK, rice is sold usually in 1kg packs. Can manage lol!
It's the liquids (milk) and pasta sauce bottles that were heavy for me.
Fortunately for me, I love Lee Kum Kee, so I bought a lot of jars in various flavours at one go from Chinatown. They lasted me for many months, but took up a lot of space in the communal fridge in my hall pantry. But nothing beats my Thai neighbour who had even MORE Thai sauces to hoard the cabinets and fridge! -

which 弱国 are u talking about?
Is it because of 弱国无外交?[/quote]
That aside, I find our MFA and state media are really slow in gathering all the footages and reports in a timely fashion. Other countries' media are super fast in delivering news to the hot desks.
Ours must still edit the end-of-day or end-of-trip photos, vet and approve, so that PM's handshake isn't looking too limp on his FB and other ministers' FBs. The video editor takes a while to put together the video montage or photo collages, I find. Malaysian media and Taiwanese media are quick in pushing out Anwar's and Ma's news on YouTube.

It's as though our PMO is very cautious of what the Chinese might say, how PM's speeches are worded, what MOUs we signed this time, what we are treated to lunch, etc.
Seems like only Anwar has been invited to speak at a local university, Tsing Hwa. Our PM has never been invited to speak at any PRC university.
PM's arrival at the Hainan airport was also not featured. Anwar's arrival in Hainan (his first leg) was captured by Malaysian media.
