cwc:janet_lee88:
WOW, Brenda10, your child is lucky that the school has an organised way of conducting Oral revision. At my DS's school, despite the high marks allocation for oral (CL-30% & EL-16%), there does not seem to be a formal and organise way to revise oral. Teachers seemed to revise only when they can find time at the last minute  Therefore, it became very stressful for parents to do our own revision at home!Brenda's daughter is in a school which has teachers doing all they can to help students with ORAL. My son's school here doesn't seem to be doing anything and orals are just next week !!! We have to coach ourselves. my DS oral is tomorrow and I din do a single thing  I guess such things have to be a daily thing, in them ie. read, listen, watch drama, speak up etc (DS is a little reserved and quiet, he does not express his feelings....) so dun think my last minute drill will help at all. Think I better find some good & interesting programmes to let him watch.......I do believe it'll help cos' my DD likes to watch drama, and I do feel that her conversational skills are better.
Hi cwc,Most important is to ensure sufficient rest and ease the butterflies in their stomachs. I shoo-ed my child off to bed at 8pm last night (he was really surprised and asked me for more revision instead! :D). Don't think we can do much preparation today too because his school ends late today. Will get him off to bed early again tonight because oral is tomorrow.
