I will not instigate my daughters against their PILs.

I will not fight with SIL's parents for attention or any other things.

        :xedfingers:

.... because I love my girls too much to be the black hands that destroy their happiness.

            1. Actually I would love them to stay with me (in my house, or shared house but not I stay in their house) as I will miss them very much!!!

            2. Alternatively, stay near each other and they can come for dinner every night, but I will need help with cooking as I rarely cook now lolx.
            3. I don’t mind helping with the grandkids (not academically though) if they are willing to, cos I know the difficulty of having to work (both parents) and juggle between work & childcare. Again, preferably with a helper.
            4. I will remind myself to MYOB, and still showing love and respect to both sons and dils while at the same time remain firm and dignified.

Hmm well, that’s wat I think now but God knows what the future is like…

This wish will be a reality for my sister soon. Her son is marrying his girlfriend soon because the girl is already pregnant. Son does not have the financial means to support a family so his wife and soon-to-be-born child will be living with my sister, for the long haul. The girl is quite young and she can’t work because she’s a foreigner.

My sister’s dream of having a carefree retirement looks like it’s going to fly out of the window. I can expect to hear grievances from her from now onwards. Arrgh…

it's very difficult to be close to daughter-in-law...maintain cordial relationship.
