Turned out the teacher who adds up all the marks on all the pages MISSED out one page of marks 4.5 :spank:
And about 4 to 5 pupils hv the same issue.
4.5 marks added back :rahrah:
So, what category is he in now?

Hi, I think I understand your concern. My dd is also petite in size, so I got her a very light school bag, a small water bottle and a very thin story book (for quiet reading purpose). During 1st year, most of the school textbooks and exercise books are given to her class teacher before the school term start. So not to worry, just remind her to walk down the staircase slowly and also not to pack unnecessary stuffs in her school bag.comfy:
Thanks for the sharing, dyh.
guess i'll have to get a better ergo bag for her.
Ayah don't just go for the lightest school bag, otherwise you'll end up with a plastic bag from Giant. Anyway the difference between the lightest and heaviest bags in the market is about 300g, so it's more important to look at the designs of the bags. Some bags are pure branding exercise. Have you considered the German ergobags http://www.ergobag.de. They're worth looking as they use the same designs of high performance hiking backpacks, with internal lightweight aluminum frames. Don't go for the bags with thick paddings, they're useless.
Hi,sohahlien,
My Dc are skinny. The schoolbags you recommended available in Singapore?
I am also having trouble getting a suitable schoolbag for my #2 who is attending P1 next year.
TIA.

FQW,
That's oredi very gd! Your ds stands a gd chance to go Teamwk9 as long as he maintains his standard. Based on past yrs' statistics, the top P6 class usually gets 260 & above, which means the top sec schs are within reach.Maple leaf:
FQW amd bgmum,
Thanks for sharing. At least know ds still in average ramge. He lost most marks in the comphre.
Now, have to accept B2 for both subjects.
Tks for the encouragement. But u sure B2 for 2 subjects can get into Teamwork9? :scared: -

Hi Maple, yes, seems like compre OE in languages pull down the most marks this time. In my case, for language paper 2, I expected him to do much better in EL than CL as he is stronger in EL compared to CL, but turns out to be the other way round.:scratchhead:
Anyway, we don't know scores of the other components of EL/CL yet. Only know that the class did v well for EL oral, average score is 14 out of 15.
Science teacher also commented that they did well for the paper. Actual result will be out next Mon.
Hi, bgmum
DS class has no news on the oral and compo scores for both EL and CL. I suppose they are adjusting the scores. DS is not strong in these 2 components. Guess he get 10 out of 15 marks kind of scores. Normally, it is his Paper 2 that helps in the overall.
This year p3 Science paper seems easier compared to last year. For Maths, he slept late after the Mother's day celebration ( about 11pm). Ended up making several careless mistakes. Seems easy ,too. Many of his friends scored above 95. -

Hi Maple leaf,
My DS's class got to know their EL oral score yesterday. But CL oral and EL/CL compo results are not known yet. But I think the EL/CL paper 2 compre OE is tough, we're supposed to get back the paper 2 today so I shall see what's the standard like.
Ya, SA1 science paper seems manageable. The class did well for science & 1 pupil scored 100. I think Math is ok so far for both CA1 and SA1 - I'm anticipating SA2 Math paper may be more challenging..

I second the opinion that p3 sa2 science seems easier.. Ds' class had v high scores too, n he is in Resp 1... Want to seek p3 parents' view of the SA2 papers, were they generally much easier? Ds is quite happy with his improved results, but i m not sure if it's simply bcos the papers r easier, or that he performed better.. So i can caliberate his study plans

Hi, bgmum,
Tks so much for telling me that some one scored full marks for Science.
Yesterday, DS just swore to me that his FT said that no ome will score full marks for Science because of the process skill section.
Now can prove him wrong and motivate him.
Maths can be tricky at times.
DS aid luckily only one paper for CA2.
