As for below 80, I am not sure. But I do noe that not all kids below 80 need remedial classes.

I agreed with you. It depend on the kid's lucky to end up with what kind of teacher. Not all teachers are willing to conduct remedial class lesson during the school holiday.Dino mummy:

In fact, when I heard that my son's Science teacher had this remedial class, I asked my son to request his teacher to include him. But, I suppose my boy is a member of NATO so it hasn't materialised yet.Actually, if there is remedial classes, just treat it as free tuition.

Without Oral and Compo, already 70+. With these 2 sections added, it will drag his score further.
I accepted that already since everyone is saying there will defintely a difference in score compared to P4. -

Your boy takes Normal Chinese, right (I read somewhere that you chose to opt him out of HCL. Please forgive me if I remembered wrongly.)? When the teachers return the scripts to the students, will you be able to kindly feedback what you think about the paper? Difficult or easy? At least it will let me be psychologically prepared and not end up too http://media.photobucket.com/user/karate_man_mike/media/Random/O_O.gif.html next year. As it is, my boy's SA1 results so far have already made me http://media.photobucket.com/user/denistephenson/media/SMILEYS/smiley_text/JC_faint.gif.html. -

May I know there are how many Bands? Band 1 to Band 9? From what I know Band 1 is 85 & above.
True since 4 weeks school holiday can use it to improve the weaker subjects. Anyone know any form of revison class for P3 science as DS suffers very badly last year. From what I know PSLE will test P3 to P6 Science. -

P3 to P4, certain classes will take HC but not tested in exams. They took the same papers as the standard chinese children.

P5. School will recommend wht the child to take HC or Std chinese...Up to the parents to agree the school's recommendation.
Like wise for Foundation and Standard level. If offered Foundation, I think can appeal to school. but if the child cant manage, school will force them to drop at P6. -

Saw the chinese paper..I wont say it is a very difficult one. He lost marks in compreh, his chinese standard is weak...Many at times, can't undertsand what the passage is about hence unable to answer. Hence, copying words by words from the passage.
He said he probably cant only get a B cos the teacher told the class that only 5 in the class scored a A for Chinese so he think he should not be the one of the 5. Have to see till he get the report book as he doesn't have the marks for his compo and oral yet. -

Do teachers deduct marks for copying from the passage in the Compre OE section?

My girl tells me that her teacher has said the comprehension questions are supposed to be asked in such a way that is quite difficult to copy large parts from the passage. She also has a bad habit of copying everything and loses marks when her answers don’t really fit. And P5 has 10 questions, even more marks to lose!
