Hi Parents,

My ds will be in pri 1 next year, Palm View is one of the schools on my list.
Understand that Palm View is very near North Vista pri, any reasons why parents choose to put your kid in PV rather than NV? I have not set my mind on anything yet, now waiting for open houses to get more info first. I hope to see reason that i might overlook during the selection. In fact the nearer schools around my area aren't PV and NV. I'm staying just opposite Rivervale Plaza the schools i can consider in term of distance should be SK pri and North Spring pri instead. Looking forward for your valuable input. Thanks.

Reading thru' this thread, you will realise some of us picked PV coz we like the uniform, coz it's a brand new school (so we will have a chance to be more involved in building the school culture, etc) and more many various reasons. As for why PV over NV, I know of parents who do not like the idea of having to volunteer.. hence they chose PV. Even for next year, I do not see a high chance of parents needing to volunteer for Palm View as yet. Another group of students I believe are spillover from those who failed to get a slot at NV.

curious, when and how do we know about the school open house? is there some place in the internet that we can know all the school open house?if no, how would we be notified of such event? thanks

I believe one of the school’s administrator is in this forum and she has posted the details of the open house in an earlier post (ref to page 26).


But im sure nearer the date, the details will be available on the school website.

Hello parents, I have been observing this thread. I am intending to send my child to this school next year. Heard a lot of good reviews about the school.


I have seen the principle's profile. Like what he said in his message. The teachers seem well qualified too. All of them have degrees, several have honours and a few have masters...
