All these intern… they no leg to walk out…?

Maybe just a simple case of 周瑜打黄盖。

maybe because as an intern, they haven’t really graduated yet.

they need to have a favorable report from their supervisor, before they can graduate with a degree. Perhaps due to this, they swallow their pride and endure the abuse ? Intern is not officially a graduate yet.

just wondering … how many years do intern normally do ?
is 3 years normal, or slightly unusual ?

Interns are humans…they are somebody’s children…not cheap labour or slaves and definitely not subject to verbal or physical abuse.

One of the female interns said she was scolded by the same culprit when she was there. This incident has opened a can of worms.

I think scolding is ok as long as it is not verbal abuse.

Physical abuse is a no no.

But the pink puncher does not seem as wise as 周瑜 and nothing to gain from this and may face criminal charges and the student definitely not a 黄盖 caliber also. 周瑜 and 黄盖 were in collusion but in this case it doesn't look that way leh. :spank:

That culprit should be shamed and jailed. Such a hooligan kind of behavior cannot be tolerated. We are supposed to be living in a gracious society.

The culprit is known to be a hot-tempered person. A female intern said she was scolded for an hour…putting in 10 hours before she quit. How come this 29 year old put up such behavior for so long???

Seriously, this is a Uni's internship rates?

                      It's allowance not salary.... Duh?
Might as well just start work with O' level qualification...
Allowance
SIM recommends a monthly allowance of between SGD600 to SGD800. As CPF Board does not accord the same exemptions as compared to publicly funded institutions, employer contribution of CPF for SIM interns’ allowance will be applicable.
You got the meaning wrong.

It means both are willing parties. Nothing to do with agenda.
