Went to school on his first day. Feel so relieved that he has a P5 buddy with him but the buddy system is only for 3 days. A bit to short I feel. Noticed that the queue is very long for some stalls. Ds complained not enough time!! Regretted not spending enough time to screen the menu and price thoroughly. lol

ya i agreed with u n today is the last day for the buddy system....indeed is quite a long queue especially the rice stall...but dunno y the noodle stall was closed and i find tat some of the food they sell tere was quite ex....

Me too find that some food are rather ex...my boy bought a nugget stick with just 3 pieces for $1.00! :shock: Have to give my boy a walk through in the canteen and show him the type of food available at each store yesterday. So very worried for tomorrow's recess as he will be on his own...& this kiasu mommy is going to be in school for the whole day again. :oops:

hi Blessedmum...aye i agreed! 3 days for the buddy system is too short. It will be good if they can extend the buddy system to a week. .
Even my p5 boy wishes it's until the end of the week! haha.

My DS told me today that he is going to miss his big buddy....so sweet! It is nice to see the bonding building up in just 3 days. The school should extend this buddy system as not only the P1 will have a big brother to look for and the P5 will also get to be the Big Brother.

My DS also enjoyed bringing the P1 boy around the school for the past 3 days… He told me that he wanted to give the P1 boy a little gift to encourage him to work hard. So mommy will have one more task to do, haha…

That's a very sweet thot! :love: For our P5 buddy, we r going to print a photo which we took on the 1st day and frame it up as a gift. But not all the buddy system went that smoothly...i've witness a P5 boy looking for his P1 buddy during the whole recess time...and he goes around calling \"Dominic! Dominic! Dominic!\"..haha...very funny but pity the P5 boy. Parents should have give these big boys a chance to lead & guide...instead of overtaking the role by buying the food for their DSs.

Hi vodkacat...CT/FF means Class Contact/fun Friday. My DS form teacher listed down all the exact meaning in the time table. :lol:

The side gates will all be closed once the lesson starts but the main gate is still open and u can go in. I went around 11am today and there r some mommies sitting around the canteen. Just don't disturb the boys during their lessons and stay out of sight yet be around...i guess that's okay. Yes I will be there tml but will only be at the parents & staff corner to watch over & ensure DS is okay. Yr DS is in which class?
