does anyone have busybee schedule for this year?
checking out p2 and p5 chinese compo and chinese enrichment class timings for weekdays and weekends. -
My boy attended a few sessions of their lower pri creative writing classes and their teaching materials are very cheem. My boy seems to be writing based on their model compositions and memorising the difficult phrases but when we asked him what they meant, he drew a blank (and I don’t blame him).
So I am concerned about the benefits he can get from such a class. He is OK about going so far and classes there are all full-house so I wonder, am I just being a worrier?
My boy’s other Chinese enrichment teacher took a look at the Busy Bees materials and commented that they seem like upper primary or lower secondary standard.
Any comments from parents? -

Seems like copying model compo is the trend. Is it really effective?

My DD is with Jiang now. Thinking of switching to the busybees 3 hours class. She is P5. Any feedback?

My boy has been attending compo classes at bb for past 3 years. The materials are pitched at a higher level. I.e if your child is in p4, the materials are about p5 higher mt standard. However, the weekly spellings and compos seem to work for my boy. He can remember the various good phrases taught in the class.

snoopy, what is the class size like?

About 15 kids per class… Heard it can even go up to 20 in some popular classes
-
Wow, quite big classes.
