Obisana:
Can I also ask WHEN will the school check about home-school distance? Is it done in front of parents during the registration or will it be done later (where the parents can only depend on their accuracy in keying in the data)?
It will be done in front of the parents during registration. -
You can call up the school, provide them ur blk number n road name and they will be able to check for u on the spot.
The two schs I went, they had a file that has a list of road name n block w the distanceObisana:
:thankyou:

Any one can advice me? Thanks
When you fill up the registration form and hand to the school, the school will mark on the check box the distance. You should see right at the bottom of the form, checkbox of < 1km, 1-2 km and >2km.
From there you will know your home school distance -
Obisana:
2. Will the withdrawal process be the same if we choose to do online registration as compared to manual registration?
What do you mean by \"the same\"?
The withdrawal process --- Do we physically go to the school and tell the school that we want to WITHDRAW our application? Or it can be done \"online\"?
The reason I'm asking this is because I'm a PR and there might be a possibility for us to withdraw last day of phase 2C should we have no chance for ballot in that school, and quickly register in other school under phase 2C.Obisana:
If your child is unsuccessful after P2CS, MOE will ask you to nominate schools you want your child to be in and that still have vacancies then. All SCs and PRs will be allocated a place before Phase 3 starts. So, why do you want to participate in Phase 3?[/quote]3. From MOE website : \"Singapore Citizen (SC) / Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) children who are unsuccessful in obtaining a Primary One place in a school of their choice at the end of Phase 2C Supplementary should approach MOE to facilitate their placement to a school which still has vacancies.\"
Does it means that SC and PR cannot participate directly and register under phase 3?
Ah....Thanks for confirming. I'm abit confused after reading this one:
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/allocation/
PHASE 3
Places will be balloted according to the following order of priority:
a.Children who are Singapore Citizens
b.Children who are Singapore Permanent Residents
c.Children who are not Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
:thankyou: -
Hi Obisana,
I do not know if you can withdraw online becos I have not registered online before. But if you wish to withdraw on the last day of P2C, 01 Aug 2013, you will have to do it at the school becos the online registration for P2C end on 31 Jul at 4.30pm, a day before the onsite registration for P2C -
Hi,
So can I withdraw at the school on the last day of phase 2c and register at another school? As I will like to check how are my odds. Thanks -
ttl:
Yes. But make sure you allocate enough time to register at the other school. Best if a parent station at each school.Hi,

Registration ends at 4.30pm and the staff are strict abt keeping to the timing.
There's no turning back once the registration phase is over. -
Oic. Thanks.
I think I wont wait till the afternoon, I will just register in the morning if the odds are good based on the 2nd day’s tally numbers. Think there might be alot of parents out there like me! hahaha. So no point waiting till the last hour. -

There were cases of parents registering in the afternoon. But then there's only so much one can planOic. Thanks.
