Those who enjoy cooking with children or make home-made goodies, you may want to try this:

Must admit that I have never tried making anything with gelatin!

:thankyou: all for pointing out where to get the pandan chiffon premix. I have checked both NTUC and Cold Storage before, but must have missed it or maybe I was still looking out for the old packaging that came in a box...?

          :?

            buds:

Sheng Siong also has them on their shelves.

Pre-mixes from Betty Crocker oso have. I recently
bought the pancake mix. But still haven't got to do it yet. 😛

Pancake- I make my own batter these days. 😎
Plain flour (with some oats thrown in), milk, eggs, vanilla essence and baking soda- all whisked til lumps disappear/ reduced and cooked accordingly!

Yes, yes! Making own batter was so easy and donkey years ago I used to make that for myself to eat

When DD was younger, I asked my maid to make pancakes (for DD's afternoon snacks) using our own ingredients, but she just ignored me and used premix instead :x

Certainly not helped by the fact that DH is into buying anything pre-processed :stupid:

I won't be surprised if there is. Also, like what 2ppaamm said, there is no egg required for using the premix - I had wondered why too.

Anyway, one reason that I prefer own batter was that I find those premix doesn't taste very nice (I can't even bear to eat them now). Maybe I remember wrong, but think those I made before certainly tasted better. Chey!

Ok, going to dig for my old home econs book to check the ingredients :celebrate:

Your new hobby relating to property is for those money-savvy pple (unfortunately I dont fit into that category 😢 )

Foccacia- how early are you going to start making it? Dh loves making this as stress-reliever  - so children and I benefit during his stress periods 😛
I have no patience nor stamina for kneading!

I have shared couple of fave cooking links at this new topic-

I'll put most of the ingredients into the bread machine and start the timer. By the time I wake up, the dough would be kneaded, then I add in any extra ingredients, shape it and then put it in the oven. It'll take about 20 minutes at most to bake, so the morning process won't take longer than 30 minutes.

Just chanced upon that new property hobby, yeah, lucrative, especially in this market.

Ah, I was wondering if you'd be using a breadmaker. We dont have one as I worry that it will be a white elephant. So far our Tefal convection oven is doing a great job in bread making. Of course dh needs to do the kneading which he enjoys ;D
