UYO is compulsory except for school athletes/swimmers (I am not sure about other sports, but these sports require almost daily training).

If your son takes up Debating, he doesn't have to do a Sport.

The 2nd CCA can be clubs/service groups/sports.

Thats what I thought so too - one UYO and another sport or club.

My DS also tried the sports y'day - came home tired. Still not sure which CCA to take. Would they have like a UYO and clubs bazaar too - Otherwise how would the children know which clubs to choose from ...

I think the CCAs will b only finalised over the next few weeks. My DS was saying maybe t'row they r having a uniformed groups and other clubs setting up booths for the Sec 1's to check them out. Would be fun I guess :celebrate:

There will be final sports selection this afternoon.
I plan to submit the sports injury insurance application form only after my son's CCA is finalised.

My son is taking CSP( chinese special programme). Is yours too? He'll be going to Clementi Town Sec every tues and Thurs for lessons.

SO sorry I missed meeting up with you all.

I tried PM to reply you last night, but realised I need to send it, and somehow I couldn't get my id/pw correct.

The request for a new pw would not be in time, and I couldn't reply you as my DH was using the comp for work the entire night, and I was out the entire day before the RSP briefing.

Once I figure out my pw I will PM you.

There are a few direct buses to Clementi Town Sec from ACS(I).
the journey would probably take about 10 minutes at most.
I'll ask my son if the timing is too rush after 1st week of lessons
and will propose to the teacher a later starting time (say about 3.15pm)if necessary.
If dismissal time of students from other schools is about the same, this will be a common concern.
