My DH gave Dd $2 these 2 days (1st 3 days already pad for). I told Dh to change to $1.50 as i think is already sufficient. Yesterday, my girl told me she had chicken rice and it was not enough for her!!! She was thinking of having a 2nd plate but worried not enough time. OMG, she really can eat. I reminded her that it was snack time, not lunch time. haha.

My DD excitedly went to canteen with her buddy. She queue up buying sushi and happily used up her $1. Her buddy bring her back to her seat (canteen seats labelled with P1A, 1B… etc) and her buddy wait for her to finished the food. The buddy even teach her how to dispose the sushi plastic container.

My DD asked the buddy to bring her to take a look where is the library, they went, but the library was closed.
Today, i ask my DD to ask her buddy to bring her to the bookstore.
My DD can tell me that after finished her sushi, they have sometime playing hopscotch (did i spell correctly?) with her friends and can tell me one of her classmate claim that she did not have a pen, and went to the β€˜β€˜pen shop’’ to buy a $2 pen. My gosh…
Its really an exciting day for the kids!!

A little joke from my DD. During their assembly, the teacher annouced that the P1 students will pair up with a buddy from P2 to the canteen. The teacher ''scared'' the P2 students that they have to takecare of their P1 buddy. If the P1 buddy came crying to the teachers that they lost their P2 buddy, the teacher will scold the P2 buddy! And the hall all roar with students laughter.

wow, it is good that she can eat πŸ™‚ my DS told me that he bought fishcake porridge and was already very full. And when we asked him why did not drink water or the packet of milk that he brought to school, he said that the porridge was already very soupy. So we paretns went second guessing - if porridge is watery, then can't be very substantial, and if not very substantial, then how can he feel so full πŸ˜‰

but glad that at least he managed to get some food for himself. when we asked him what else did he do during recess, he told us that his buddy brought him to play.

YEAH!! Our kids (& us!) had survived the 1st week of sch!! πŸ™‚

We let DS had canteen food for lunch on Tue & Wed so that can go thru the entire process w him, DH & I even had lunch w him on Wed & tabao for his younger brother. Whole family spent <$10

Yet he still lost his water bottle after the 1st recess w buddy. That's after >10 reminders at home to take his bottle after clearing plates! :x

He realised e loss during next period & teacher said will help him find later but he came home w/o a drink even after PE that day.
Scolded him upside down & to add fuel to fire, his teacher assigned him to b assistant group leader afterwards. He can't even take care of his own stuff!

We emailed the teacher for help as she was not responding to an earlier note in handbook.

However, he still couldn't find the bottle in the Lost & Found w her ytd & I'm giving him mineral water bottle to bring to sch until he is less forgetful. πŸ˜‰

The funny bit is teacher still \"promote\" him to b e class monitor ytd. I hope he won't lose the whole class' stuff! As he & the monitress r supposed to b at the front of the Q whenever the class goes, DH joked that he better don't lose the whole class!

                What an eventful week!

                  Hi all

By the way, just wanna find out how much pocket money that you dear mommies and daddies give to your kid today? I went to survey the tuckshop on the 1st day of school. Most of the food priced below $2. I was thinking to give $2 per day  Is it too much? Haha!!
Our budget for DS is $1 per day but gave him extra 50cts spare in case he accidentally bot something more expensive w/o realising it even tho we had told him to check price b4 ordering if it's unlisted. He can also use the extra 50cts when nec but must declare when home. 😎

I top up the wallet to $1.50 everyday so he is not having anything to save yet, as we don't want him to start buying rubbish stationery home. In fact, already told him pocket $ will b cut for the day if he is being notti at home in the a.m. Told him mommy work so hard at home also no pay.
                  hahahaa... πŸ˜‰

We know he loves the japanese food ($1.30 don) but he didn't hv enough time to finish it during recess, so discouraged him fr buying unless really hungry.
