How many years ago was that?
Well, in the registration policy balloting is catered after Phase 1 onwards. MOE only guarantee that Phase 1 is confirmed placement.stonston:
Looking at the stats, it feels really scary.
Will this year be the first time balloting required at Phase 2A2 looking at some of the high numbers of siblings already registered?
In that sense nothing to be alarmed if balloting occur in P2A.
Dunno how many years ago, there was balloting in P2A2.
From what I've read, there's been no balloting in P2A2 for quite a few years.
Sudden boom in piggy babies means more competition... -

MMR booster will be given in school in P1. You child will be notified then, don't worry over it or do it yourself. Same for Poliomyelitis booster.
My ds is in Phase 1. He does not have the booster yet, the school did not have an issue with it not on his immunisation cert. I'm planning to let him have the booster next yr.smurfy:
err, have this been answered before?
is MMR booster compulsory? -

If you look at the http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/tampines, this year's Phase 1 intake is only 1% higher than the average. The highest we have so far is 49% in 2006. So this year is not quite out of the ordinary.
Shocking !belle08:
Poh Ching takes up rate for P1 also almost 50%!
Sigh! Stress....
poi Ching (Tampines) close to 50% snapped up by golden piggies, in phase 1 day 1. Never happen before. Why suddenly so many siblings in this school ?

stonston:
I hope it doesnt happen for the school of my choice!

I suspect Canberra hasn't processed most of its Phase 1 applicants yet. At 8% TUR, it is far below its average. But for Endeavour, you are right. Phases 2B and 2C will be very competitive.Endeavour Primary 210 vacancies, 116 taken up already.
Shocking. Compared to Canberra, it seems that Endeavour must go through balloting within 1 km this year! Parents, if you stayed more than 1km away from Endeavour, you can start to have Plan B, select another school.
