LOL! I think it MAY happen this year! *GASP*
One of the members shared it happened during her P1 registration. I didn't ask her which yr she was born so dunno how long ago it was :rotflmao: -

There are enough vacancies for all eligible kids going to P1.

If you look at the http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/tampines, this year's Phase 1 intake is only 1% higher than the average. The highest we have so far is 49% in 2006. So this year is not quite out of the ordinary.
Shocking !belle08:
Poh Ching takes up rate for P1 also almost 50%!
Sigh! Stress....
poi Ching (Tampines) close to 50% snapped up by golden piggies, in phase 1 day 1. Never happen before. Why suddenly so many siblings in this school ?

I hope it doesnt happen for the school of my choice!

Btw, anybody know what is the cut off time for today's Phrase 1 exercise? -

I suspect Canberra hasn't processed most of its Phase 1 applicants yet. At 8% TUR, it is far below its average. But for Endeavour, you are right. Phases 2B and 2C will be very competitive.Endeavour Primary 210 vacancies, 116 taken up already.
Shocking. Compared to Canberra, it seems that Endeavour must go through balloting within 1 km this year! Parents, if you stayed more than 1km away from Endeavour, you can start to have Plan B, select another school. -

After Phase 1 Day 1
Schools with > 50% places taken up
Anchor Green Primary School - 59.5%
Nan Hua Primary School - 55.8%
Endeavour Primary School - 55.2%
Henry Park Primary School - 54.7%
Ai Tong School - 51.8%
Fairfield Methodist School (Primary) - 51.1%
Schools with < 100 balanced vacancies
Cedar Primary School - 82
Anchor Green Primary School - 85
Endeavour Primary School - 94
Pasir Ris Primary School - 97
Yu Neng Primary School - 99
Canossa Convent Primary School - 99 -
Jialiat lah, Nan Hua Pri has 134 applicants, suspect that there will be less than 8 by the time left for both phrase 2B and 2C. Heart attack soon. Now think of second choice, dont know clementi pri or pei tong, and any mummies know of any good student services centre in clementi ave 3?

Do phase 1 parents receive some sort of acknowledge form? I 'm afraid of misplaced too . My dd told me she passed to the general office ! :
i've called school. they confirmed a place for my dd. however, the staff said the confirmation letter will be given out after today cos today is last day of phase 1.
my guess is, tomorrow will be for careless elder siblings who somehow misplaced or forgotten to pass the form in. aka my ds... better call school tomorrow to check and confirm.icy_mama:
Yes, agree.
Wondering tomorrow day 2 -
Who will go and register their kid in phase 1, since most would have done it through schools already.
dunno about other schools. perhaps it'd be safer if you'd call your dc school to check and confirm. after today, staff will be busier with other phases of registration.
