My dd is getting more slack than hardworking as the date draws nearer. I have requested my boss to let me work from home from August to early October on most days except days when I have to be in office physically. Fortunately she is understanding and is fine with this.

Just want to be at home to provide support and to watch that she is not idling too much…

I am just wondering with all the practice papers they are doing now from school and supp classes, should we load our p6 with more. My son has no interest to do the stuff I give , do a bit here and there .

          You're a good mom.

Yes, fortunately you have an understanding boss. πŸ†’

            Goodluck8:

At least your DS teacher had finished the syllabus. I more worry for my DD. Chinese still left 2 chapters uncovered. Science left Man and his environment and Maths left volume. So she is busy doing all the activity books instead of revision. sigh.
goodluck8, for math, perhaps u could start your dd on revision papers now. just need to circle out the volume questions and go back to them later. imo, math needs alot of practice.

as for science, perhaps could do the same, just that the topic may not be easily spotted as compared with math, but it certainly beats not doing anything at all.

and, goodluck8, don't worry too much. i believe, we'll get there when we get there. it ain't over till it's over. 加油!

My DD has no interest to do top school papers at all.

My DD refuses to do the stuff I give... sometimes.

I try not to load her at all when I see her so tired from school.
She has to wake up 5 plus every morning to last her the whole day in school.

Even the average working adult already worn out with 8-5 job.

DD just reached home. Though tired, she said she will air her body while doing homework...

DD claims her school just finished Math syllabus.

I dare not ask about the Science.

I just zoom in on working on her weak areas WHEN she is receptive to work with me so I maximize those quality times (which are few) so that she can see for herself, she only needs minimal time with me to get it right. My DD's stumbling block is her attitude. Of course, the pre-teen hormones does not help at all. Anything can trigger a face-off. :scared:

Just had one this morning. I was too tired to say anything. When she saw me crying while washing the dishes, she apologized.

                I miss my baby.

Goodluck8, are our kids in the same school? :? DS's school also has not taught Man and his environment and Volume. I am not sure about Chinese. When is your DD's Prelim?

Buds, you are as cool as a cucumber πŸ†’ . But aren't you afraid that she is not familiar with the exam type question since you do not force her to practise top school papers?
I think most kids have no interest to do top school papers , mine included. Just too bad that my DS has a mother who will insist he does at least a few πŸ˜‰

Is it my DS school different or what? :? Is everybody else's prelims starting in late August?

Seems like many schools stay back 4x a wk. Mine only 1 or 2x a wk.
DS Prelims starting end July. :faint:
