I am getting him to keep practising and memorise the 结尾that teacher gave.

i was furiously nodding my head and showed your post to dd and told her she also like that.

she said, NO, i only take maybe 5secs to think. :slapshead:

told her she needs to practise but she doesn't let me hear her. she say looking at me she can't think. :mad:

so for chinese oral, i leave to her and her tutor and :xedfingers:

My ds is weak in editing and compre cloze- always makes the darnest mistakes. He has finished those Conquer series by Teachers @ Work & Primary English 6 but still weak. Anyone can recommend any other good assessment books or any miracle solution pls? Appreciate advice. Thanks.

Hahaha... I think I have to drink celery juice everyday from now on until 16 August so I won't get high blood pressure :frustrated:

Correct lor... 5 secs is better than 10 secs

Your DD is better. In front of you then she cannot think. My son said he usually panic in front of examiner so can you imagine if it takes him 10 secs of ummmmmm with me, how long his ummmmmmm is in front of the examiner? He barely pass Chinese oral in SA1

that's what she wants to think.... but i don't think so! i think it's as long as 10secs too. :razz:

she was just being sassy with me when i correct her mistakes. sometimes can really make the blood boil. now where is that celery drink?! :rant:

Your DC 'ummmm' already still can say something right? My DS doesn't have 'ummmm'...but his lost look on his face will betray his thought, i.e ...\"what is that object or place in chinese\"?

Maybe if you can get him to say \"hmmm\" instead of \"ummm\", it may make him sound \"wise and seriously thinking\" rather than \"being unsure of the answer\". :evil:

Sorry, I know this is not helping, but kids have a way of performing well when you least expect them to
