Hard to tell, but from this year's scary results at so many schools, high chance there'll be balloting at Phase 2B. Plus, the seats available at MS number at 70 this year, which is lesser than the usual 80+. -
ChiefKiasu:
Pardon me. I thought we have completed up to phase 2a only which non of the phases need to ballot. How can the rental of flat affect the application?thsheng99:
Yup. I have a colleague who rented a flat unit at Sin Ming ( he stayed in a landed > 2km) just to get in :yikes:
If his daughter is not staying in that Sin Ming flat during her stay in Ai Tong, please do us all a favour and report him to MOE. It is unethical behavior like this that creates stress for other folks who play by the rules. -

From the MOE release yesterday, it seems many schools will have balloting in 2B
Hopefully all our SG kids get in first rather than the PRs (I know I'm biased here but it's really from the bottom of my heart)
Getting more & more competitive each year!
I think all popular schools will ballot in 2B -
stonston:
Not sure for Catholics but for Methodist church, the child must be baptised and must be registered as a member of the Methodist church from what I know. Some churches require both parents to be baptised and members of the church before they give the letter too.py85:
normally are there alot of church member and grassroots leaders?
if for church member they have catholic / methodist baptised cert, is there a difference.
How to be members of the church? Really, catholic schools just need the child to be baptised? -
Iamstressed:
else they will not be considered popularBlessedwife:

Yes, your colleague is badly in need of moral & civil upbringing from Ai Tong :rotflmao:

gvyong:
nothing wrong if they shift in to stay in the rented flat during the years their child is studying in Ai Tong.

Hi mommies,
I need your advice. Still a bit confused of balloting system.
I’m a PR & I’m aiming to register either at RVPS or Alexandra Primary School.
Both are within <1km from my place.
Since I’m PR hence I could only register at phase 2C.
Could I join for balloting after Phase 2B (which was mentioned in the earlier post is scheduled on 26 July 2013)?
My 1st choice is actually RVPS but looking at the number seats left is 82 (if I’m not wrong as at todate).
Pls advice & thx -
Hippo mommy:
If u are not eligible for phase 2B, you have to register during the phase 2C period. balloting will occur when there's more demand than supply.Hi mommies,
