Hi ! Thanks for the overview. πŸ˜„ I need to clarify something. You mean to say that once they clear the selection interview, the pupils get to CHOOSE whether they prefer PB or PSL? I was told by a prefect that the PB teachers decide who to put where after the interview but she was unsure of the exact criteria used. Some other PSLs thought the allocation was quite 'random'.

By the way, how many student leaders are selected per Term ? Do they also have to go through an interview after being nominated by the class and teachers too ? How many nominees are allowed per class for student leaders ?

What is the order of selection of SLs? 101- 106/7 Term 2 , 107/108-113 in Term 3 or the other way round?

      Thanks. :celebrate:
i have to say im not very sure whether is it a choice to be a PSL or Prefect. but teachers usually look out for a certain quality in the students to decide. and this is really ambiguous 'cause we as students dont know what are the exact 'qualities' either. As interviews are carried out by BOTH the teachers and student leaders, so if your daughter is really keen on being a PSL, i'd suggest that your daughter go up to her PSLs and ask for advices, particularly ask the sec4s as they would be more experienced.

I think each class will have about 7 nominees for each term, there is no quota to the number of SLs chosen for each term. Being nominated means to get a chance to get interviewed, only after passing the interview will the teacher-in-charge select suitable students to hold the positions.

If i remember correctly, you'll have 3 chances of getting nominated in the year. Before the overall interview for all SLs of the year, students will get to nominate their peers who were not SLs.

there is no order of selection. πŸ™‚

        Hi fatal-illuxions,

May I know what the official school hours are at RGS?
I was told by Admin that it’s:
        Mon, Wed & Fri 7.20am to 1.40pm
        Tues & Thurs 7.20am to 3pm

However, my daughter claims that her time-table for tomorrow (ie. Monday) shows that lesson will end at 2.40pm. They are not inform of their time-table for the rest of the week yet.

        Thanks.

Yes, she enjoyed herself tremendously during the camp. I think they all did. The PSLs did a fantastic job. Regarding that famous MediaCorp ex-actress, yes, I saw the actress during registration day. Her dd was from NYPS?

                    Me too !!! πŸ˜‰ Who is she ??? :?

BTW, Fairy, regarding CCAs at Braddell. I asked a teacher on Sat. and he mentioned some performing groups like Angklung & Guitar and a few sports CCAs, although he wasn't sure which ones. As for UGs, he's quite sure they are still held in school. If you dd is interested in P.Arts or Sports, you may want to check with the CCA HOD personally.

                        Hi wmd,

What is your point of revealing these data ? No offence intended but I personally feel that certain things should be kept private, within the class and NOT put on a public forum for all to see -- forum ethics. ( Do our moderators have rules for forummers to follow?) In particular, specific names should not be brought up so liberally.

Please respect the privacy of the pupils and their parents. If you wish to share your dd's marks or her success stories on this forum, please feel free to do so. However, I honestly hope you have no intention of reporting the going-ons of the class, the girls' tests & exam results etc etc in future. It doesn't seem right or ethical and is a direct breach of their privacy, unless of course, you have obtained their permission to publicise their results etc.

For your information, the official class 'monitresses' or chairman/vice-chairman as they will be known, have not been finalised yet. The form teacher just randomly picked 2 index numbers from the class to be the tentative class ICs, until formal selections are done (soon).

                        Cheers :celebrate:
