By the way, you have to keep it lit with a hot enough bulb for quite a few hours each day or it’ll start sweating coz it absorb water from the air and starts dissolving.

I have 4 at home, 3 in bedrooms and 1 in living. Have used them for more than 5 yrs. They look good as decor and each one is unique. I have one that looks like a kindly face smiling at you (creepy but nice).

They are on 24/7. 15watt bulb to give light and heat to keep the lamp dry. The big block of salt is so salty it will absorb moisture from the atmosphere and as a result the surface will change from crystalline to liquid, then the heat will evaporate this liquid which emits the -ve ion. That’s why the rock sweat if you don’t apply heat. If you are not using the lamp, you have to wrap it up to prevent contact with atmosphere or you get a puddle of salt water next to the lamp after a day.

May I know where did you get it from and how much does it cost? Where did you get the 15 w bulb which is hard to get.

            Thanks for sharing

You can get the bulb from any shop that sells light bulbs. It is the screw on type. Box is blue in colour and has the word Pygmy on it, cost $1.50 can last quite a few months.

I got lamps from a shop at Toa Payoh Central but it has closed down.

I think you may be able to find them at Waterloo Street area where there are many mineral stones shops. It was quite a fade once but has died down somewhat but we still like the lamp.

How's your family health in the last 5 years as compared to before getting the lamps?

The last time I saw such a shop in JB tebrau area…there was a Carrefour bldg.

The shop has them in diff sizes and shapes…ranging from RM20 for a small one to RM50 for a pyramid shaped.

Not sure if it’s still there.
