[quote=\"patlsy79\"]any update for Fairfield bo?? TQTQ
My friend just called... they didn't release total no. registered today but all who registered were within 1km & 1-2km. So i suppose those outside of 2km won't have a chance... -
Tao Nan School:
Phase 2B: 41 places
within 1 km = 45
between 1 and 2 km = 1
outside 2 km = 2 -
Nanhua to date is 25 within 1km, think the rest no chance cos the person just told me the digits within 1km, sanme goes for Fairfield Methodist, is 15 within 1km.

Hi,But for popular schools like nan Hua -
Normally balloting is conducted within 1 km.
so for those staying more than 2 km, think they are more or less mentally prepared that nan Hua admin will also request them to withdraw - sooner or later (by end of day 2, 4.30 pm)
If admin inform those more than 2 km to withdraw earlier,
Is better. Because then, they got more time to react, to consider other alternative schools nearby, ESP. For parents under grassroot category, phase 2b. Rather than to be told to withdraw on day 2, around 4.30 pm closing time which is late - because they wont have time to re-act fast, quickly enrol in another school, hence missing one very important 2b precious chance.
Most of the grassroot parents will apply on day 2 tomorrow -
Having got a clearer picture of the stats within 1 km, within 2 km, from day 1.
Then they will place their final bet, tomorrow afternoon.
Can I ask, does that mean for grassroot, they can opt for any school in Singapore?
Not necessarily the GRC/area they serving? :? -

Later today after 2 pm, go and confirm with fairfield admin -just called Fairfield at 450pm. was told 15 <1km as of today.
Guess there'll be no chance for 1-2km though. Unless, those <1km there are PR in there....
See whether 1 to 2 km still got chance to ballot.
If no chance, see whether can register in time, in another school, under 2b. Else when come to 2c, register At an all girls mission school (to bypAss co-ed schools' competition) - either chij school, or Marymount or st Margaret. Then fill up transfer form - seek transfer back into Fairfield. -

Admin said all the 15 registered kids staying less than 1 km today are all Singapore citizen kids. She said if tomorrow (day 2) once exceed 18, then balloting will occur, less than 1 km. those staying between 1 to 2 km will then have to withdraw, if this happen.

can I check, if i apply on Day 1 of P2C, can I still withdraw on the 3rd day and apply another school if I find the risk of not getting in too high? Any lead time for the schools to process?

SCGS 23 registrations within 1km, all citizens, confirm balloting.
Hi,
Am wondering for SCGS, they take in very very little PVs.
Had tried applying with a few friends and non of us got in.
They do not have clan/church affliation.
I am hoping that there will be vacancies in 2B so that they can overflow to 2C to give citizens within 1km more chances.
I am quite surprise that their 2B need balloting.
Any idea which type of people are entitled to be in 2B for SCGS?
Thanks. -
