Does anyone have updated statistics for MGS?
-
Just wondering at what point of time can I put my child on the waiting list? For e.g. if I already know that I live outside 2km of a school and wont qualify for Phase 2B, can I already put her name on the waiting list? Thanks!

Oh My Gosh:
Yes, as of end of today registration. Likely more will register tomorrow, confirmed balloting for < 1 km.
Thks! But doesnt it means those outside 1km gotta withdraw? Anyway tns history is all balloting within 1km for 2b & 2c.. so those outside 1km wont get a chance, right?
This is for 1st day right?quixation:

Once again, qms nails it right on the head! :goodpost:qms:
can I check, if i apply on Day 1 of P2C, can I still withdraw on the 3rd day and apply another school if I find the risk of not getting in too high? Any lead time for the schools to process?
Why don't you register only on the third day? Saves you the trouble of withdrawing and applying.
You only want to do the withdraw and register thingy if you had registered your kid in an earlier phase and you want to try your luck with another school that you desire more.
The withdrawal process is very fast... much faster than registration. Mine took 20 minutes, and most of the time was spent by the admin clerk wondering if I've gone bonkers to want to withdraw from a school that everyone else were dying to get in.
Chief,
For the school which we withdrew from, do they need your original I/Cs? Apparently, different schools have different polices. :? -
quixation:
Usually, the school will call up the parents staying > 1km to advise them of the situation but ultimately it is up to the parents if they want to withdraw and register at another school, or not (hence wasting their chance). The trend of TNS balloting within 1km for Phase 2B only starts in Year 2011 (i.e. children born in Year 2004); prior to that those staying within 1 km do not need to go through balloting.
Thks! But doesnt it means those outside 1km gotta withdraw? Anyway tns history is all balloting within 1km for 2b & 2c.. so those outside 1km wont get a chance, right? -

Any dear parents have any news on ngee ann, haig girls ?
No news, only got TNS updates. Best to check MOE website later tonight - more reliable. -
Oh My Gosh:
Based on my recollection, I dont think that MOE updates based on distance or whether SC or PR for Ph 2B and Ph 2C right? If so, then the MOE stats will not be that helpful? Unless i am wrong....quixation:

All the CHIJs so full this year! Could it be because Catholicism seems to be the easiest way via 2b?
