Changes In Children
-
Hi Flametree,
Nice to hear from you again.
On Sunday, I was with her in the afternoon (sacrificing my nap) and we discussed points to be considered for her Chinese composition (I did this before its just that now I allowed her to speak more).
After that, I can see:
- that she felt more assured to do her work
- take ownership to finish the composition by herself
- she showed some sense of achievement
I felt great too. -
Congrats Bear.w.me! you are making progress.

Thanks ks2me. I really touches me to know that you are still following my plight.
I will certainly continue to work on it. -
Bear.w.me, your sacrifice of nap has been worth it eh?
Take heart...and listen to DD. Sometimes, it's really all that they need - to know that in spite of all the changes in their lives, mummy (and daddy) are still there for them.
:celebrate: jia you! -
Yes Andaiz, it is definitely worth it. Thanks.

Bear.w.me:
You are :welcome:. We are all parents so we share all similar concerns. IThanks ks2me. I really touches me to know that you are still following my plight.

you find the complete solution to the issue soon. Keep going!! We support you.
Btw, have you considered introducing your kid to this forum to get some boosting from the aunties like buds and uncles like zack? The energy here may do her good as I see a few very motivated kids around with their parents. -
Yeah, this is a good suggestion.
I might just do that. Maybe I shall introduce her to the Maths Thread since she likes mathematics.
Thanks ks2me. -
Bear.w.me:
Yes Maths thread is good, she can also help others solve problems then she may be perked up. Also, there is a brain teaser thread started by Muffin, can try to solve those there as well. Importantly is you have to be there to guide her like the other parents so she does not spend too much time on this as well. Too much of a good thing also not so good.Yeah, this is a good suggestion.

Bear.w.me,
May I also suggest you either blog this adventure or write a diary on this with her (modernised version....read on, I'll tell you why!)
I remember my mom keeping the letter full of angst I'd sent her at 15-16 years' old. She showed it to me the evening before I got married  and it really made me feel that I'd never foresake her even after getting married. :snuggles: More importantly for her and me, it's a chronological track of how we've grown and how our relationship has grown. -
From what I have observed, many kids change tremendously when they enter Sec school. We just have to keep monitoring them. Someone told me before, parentings is like flying a kite. Wish all kite flyers here, happy flying ....
