I gathered this PSLE stationeries list from 2012 thread. Anything else to add on?

      *Pens
      *Correction tapes
      *2B pencils for OAS
      *Eraser
      *Highlighter
      *Ruler
      *Protractor
      *Set squares
      *Calculator
      *E-dictionary

        MMM:
I have a question on how parents view prelims.

SA1 was critical especially if the child is applying for DSA.

Along the way, dd also had surprise mock exams at the beginning of term 3.

Prelim is around mid August. Besides using prelim as a gauge of their PSLE preparation and probably as a very late wake up call for some, what are the other implications of prelim???

Reason for asking is that dd still has CCA involvement till the day before prelim as a important performance was postponed... Personally I thought despite that prelim is next day, we will still let her go for that performance as it was like once in a life time. The P6 practise commitment has definitely dropped. While I heard most of her classmates are also attending this performance, there are some whose parents didn't allow them due to prelims.

I sort of felt that at this stage, they have gone through non stop tests and exams and been revising. So what is that one day??? I am just wondering if I missed out any implications of prelims.
I believe that it is Plan B.
God forbid something goes wrong and unable to write PSLE, then the prelim marks are taken into consideration

during the last meet the teacher session, teacher told me that Prelims marks will be taken into consideration for the PSLE t-score should something happen and the child is not able to take PSLE or the child is likely to be adversely affected (e.g. death of loved one).

So prelims is rather important in that sense.

There is no hard and fast rule of whether your DD should still be involved in CCA or not. It depends on the individual child.

if memory never fail me, i think stapler is not required. They use string to tie up the scripts. but then i'm getting old, so may have forgotten. šŸ˜‰

Looks like a lot of children got cold and cough these days. DS also sneezed a lot since yesterday.

guess once the weather changes, the flu bug flies... getting a flu jab for my dd and ds later after dinner. small dd got the sniffles and cough. hope big dd won't catch it from her.

I think I would prefer that dd bring extra calculator and e-dictionary rather than battery. Don't want her to spend time changing it.

it is better to replace the batteries before the exams. some calculators require screwdriver to unscrew for battery replacement.
Don't think need to draw circles.
