Just to share 1case,for benefit of concerned parents..

This pair of parents,wanted to get their child into Fairfield..
They were lucky,able to buy a pte condo within 1km,
with funds from their parents..
Then to qualify for phase 2B,suddenly became believers of God..
Started to attend Fairfield Methodist church..
one of the parents(not both),got baptized ard 1yr ago..end up,they got a letter from their pastor(which I question why it was given,as I think 1yr is pretty fishy & suspicious,in terms of their intention)..

End up,they qualify for phase 2B,& though there were 50 applicants,versus 19 vacancies,but as they r less than 1km,they escaped ballot,& simply got in safely!

To me,I think it is unfair..I think all within 2km should all go for ballot!
This is a genuine case of 'pay' indirectly to get in!!
Can afford a house nearby,bingo! U get in!!

Plus,FYI,pei hwa is very strict abt giving the letter to parents to qualify for phase 2B!
My friend has been a Christian for a long time,switched to Glory Church..need to volunteer in church for at least a year,then can get the letter..she was only short of 1month,but her pastor refused to write the letter!
But in God's grace,her child got in through ballot in phase 2C..

Don't flame me! I am just trying to let other parents know what I know..

:goodpost: because of such issue, paretns like us who's been staying here for decade not able to get in the sch which is 1-2km away though also under 2B, but to put the kid in further sch 5-6km away. Now headache for the logistic arrangement sigh...

Likewise there should be a min no. Of years of residency at the same address.

Those who rent must be placed behind those of owner occupied. No to those who switch address on NRIC at the last minute.

1 - 2km: 3
outside 2km: 13

total registered 58 vs 40 vacancies.

Based on the data provided, means that :-

All 42 sg within 1 km in mgs, will ballot for 40 vacancies.
2 unlucky sg kids will be balloted out.

All outside 1 km - no chance to ballot.

For all parents awaiting NCPS results, I have called the school and confirmed all SC within 1km no need to ballot. So balloting required for 1 to 2km.

Sharing my relief with all others who are within 1km, sincerely wishing all who need to ballot the best of luck Fully understand the anxiety!

Hi, I guess it should be pretty safe since you're within 1KM. I just registered yest. Our dds could be classmates
Bartley Residence TOP is 2017 so address cannot be used for this yr registration.

Bartley Residence TOP is 2017 so address cannot be used for this yr registration.

If TOP is year 2017 for year 2015 intake, can the address be used when next year registration? what is the guidelines? Thanks.

Latest on MGS. All 41 applicants within 1 km have been accepted as two of them are twins. This is confirmed by MOE. What a great relief.

I just called PLMGS.
Under Phase 2B, all Singaporeans got in without balloting. Balloting is only for PRs.

Looking at the balloting n all the branded school are so competitive I will stay at Temasek. Not every one got the chance to get in Temasek . My Frz was in the waiting list till now no news from the school yet.
