My DS got 83 marks and GPA 4.0 for the subject he is keen to take up for RA. However the percentile is within 60-70. Not sure whether to try for it.

Must be Math or Science, ya ? No harm trying.. If you don't try, you'll never know.. All the Best !!

Ya is Science. Math he is within 90-100 percentile but he is not interested.

In MY opinion, Literature is most useful (for Scholarships)..

Useful. If Lit is well used, they (the doc and dent) don't need sedative

Thanks for sharing information. As my child wants to learn Germ to the A level, so I’d like my child take 2 sciences 2 Hum, such as Chem Bio Geo and Lit. I think the load is not too heavy. Anyway, you still need to drop one science at A level. Would it be ok ?

Which year is your DS in now ? Year-1 or Year-2 ? Is he currently taking German as a 3rd Language?

Actually, I am not 'qualified' to advise you on the various subject choices, as my DS is only in Year-2 this year. Experienced parents like naggo-nitemare, piggylalala, strparent & a few others are in better positions to advise you..

However, I can share with you what my DS plans to take in Year-3. He intends to take 3 Sciences & 1 Humanity. Though I feel that Literature is the 'most useful' Humanity subject, DS intends to take History or Geography, as he does not like Literature at all. So, when helping your DS to decide on what subjects to take in Year-3, perhaps you should consider your DS' interest in the various subjects, which I think is most important..
