Wen is ur delivery possession date indicated on ur agreement of lease?. Must be by end 2015 den u can use new address to register. My house onli ready in 2016, cannot use to register. Thus I m outside 2km. I m able to locate my new flat under one map though. U can try again.

I need some assistance and advise here.

My new house is still under development and I couldnt locate the building using onemap to determine the distance to the schools of my choice.

I tried using the next building as a guidance but would like to know is that the way the school/MOE will determine as well? the distance may differs slightly depending on which building was choosen.

My concern arise is because my location to the schools are within 1-2km and a tad worried that if the school/MOE are using a different building as a gauge then maybe I will fall out of the 1-2km range since I dont know the exact distance.

Just call the school and give your address. They will tell you if you are within 2km.

Thanks ChiefKiasu. Looks like I have to drop the schools of my choice. It's 2 times oversubscribed just on the first day and spoke to the school. Chances are slim for 1-2km.

Yup I went n reg at sk green yest mrg n boy I was shocked tat the queue no. Was so long. Prev, I still tot this gonna b a sch w alot of vacancies to cater for phase 2csupp.


I was still very confident tat I can confirm get into tis sch even tho mi outside 2km…but now I m not so sure . Hope the total applicants will not exceed the avail vacancies.

Was referring to the population around sk green primary, sk green and palm view and springdale are quite far apart.

All 3 schools are new and they start on equal footing. When the flats are ready along Sengkang East Way, I'm sure Springdale will be in hot demand. My thots are to opt for a school within walking distance and dun need to take school bus.

We chose Compassvale instead of Nan Chiau even though we were halfway in between both as my kids dun need to cross the major roads to get to school Traffic is really fast along Sengkang East Road

That’s true. But bus pickup can be really early. My colleague is staying 3 streets away from Zhangde. The bus pickup is at 6+am in the morning even though school starts before 8am. So they decided to walk to school in the morning and take the school bus back in the afternoon.
