I agree whole heartedly. Best to go for schools not having ballot and to go to a confirmed entry school. Imagine a popular school which has ballot now will have 6yrs of stress cos of popular school.

To my friends for Day 3 especially to my friends from Tao Nan n Ngee Ann(where there is confirmed ballotting ) all the best.

Pray that you do get into the No 1 n No 2 school in Marine Parade.

Actually not all top schools are stressful. In fact, P1&2 and even P3 is like honeymoon...can still score with very little homework...and it's top schools featured regularly in 'top schools exam papers'.

IMO Comparing year to year, previous year is always like honeymoon

Most probably we will go for the school that requires no balloting. I can't imagine the stress of going through balloting in Phase 2C, child can't get balloted in, go Phase 2Cs, balloting again, child can't get balloted in and child enter Phase 3 with any aining school that still has vacancies. Imagine the time wasted, and agony and stress. After tonite, I will not have to carry anymore. Good luck parnts.

              Hi,

Does anyone have the statistics for Fairfield? From the MOE website, there were 62 applicants. Are they all SC staying within 1 km?

Called Fairfield at 8 am. As of end of day 2, all 62 are SC within 1 km.

                Any further updates on smps?

I can’t figure out why there’s a differences in the total applicant told by the sch vs moe website. Is it the sch normally disclose applicants of sc and just omit the pr?

Not comparing year to year but rather, between schools. Some of them really put a lot of emphasis on academic even when they are in lower pri. Some parents prefer it that way...coz if no tests, then donno what the kids learnt.

Cannossa Convent and Cedar Pri can still be your back up at phase 2Cs. But Marymount this year may see most of the seats filled up at 2C. If u stay nearer to Cannossa Convent than Marymount, you should go for the nearest girls' school.

If I stay near your place, I will prefer to send my child to Canossa Convent than Cedar Primary if have daughters only.

Glad that you are more or less decided on which school to register. Last night must be a 煎熬 for you. :hugs:
