My boy came back last evening and mentioned that every Tuesday is school's recycle day and insisted that he wanted to bring old newspapers to school as a contribution. Anyone of your child mentioned to you on this (or existing parents with kids already at NCPS)?

Anyway I packed two empty juice bottles for him (which we always keep for recycling) to bring to school today.

My DD mentioned that too. today is their Green tuesday, they can bring recycle things to school. They have boxes to keep it, and my DD said the money that raised from the recycle materials will go to the poor children.
My DD also mentioned, if you do not have any recycle things to bring to school is also ok. My DD also insisted bring newspaper/empty plastic bottles to school.

Oh that's good. Its for a good course so why not. Just that he insisted to bring newspaper this morning when I told him that its difficult for something so heavy as he still needs to go to day care centre.

For my DS, as his Tues’ timetable requires him to take along quite a number of books, I have been packing very small bundles of newspapers (last Tues and today) for him to take to school. I am now trying to keep empty milk cartons for him to take to school instead coz those would be lighter albeit that they take up more space. In any case, its good to see the children so enthusiastic about this recycling business.

Hi, any idea how the kids borrow books from the school library? When can they go? I heard from my DD that they need NLB Library card to borrow books, if not have to pay $$?? Is that true?

no plans yet coz i had assumed that for p1 there is no need for them to join any cca at this year.
