I thought these are played using the multi-purpose controller, just held at different angle? :? -

Yes you can get the accessories to better simulate the games you are playing... Think you can get a set that comes with a short golf club, racket, bat etc... Think the retail price is abt 49.90 if my memory does not fail me.
The accessories are optional lar as you would still be able to play your wii games using just the controller. -

Yeah still need to rely on the controller... In most cases the accessories are empty shells and have to fix your controller onto the accessories.titank:

I think if you are playing rock band, you need to buy the guitar and drum set.titank:

Yes, need to buy the guitar and the cute drum set.

For others like the sports games, just the controller wud suffice,
if you do not want to purchase so many accessories... cos there
will be issue of where to place so many equipment, duncha think?

So the price of $349 comes with how many controller? If want to get extra how much does it cost? In terms of games maybe you can try Best Denki at Takashimaya, Vivocity.
One std set comes with only one controller... I had wanted to buy a second controller and went to Tiong Bahru, Vivocity and Funan Challengers, apparently all sold out.. Prob due to the christmas and people getting it as gifts.
Cant exactly recall how much is the second controller... Could be 69.90 or 79.90 but shdn't be more that that.
I went to get the wii resort (with 12 games) for 79.90 instead since couldnt get a second controller and comes with wii motion plus which supposedly makes the controller respond faster as required by the wii resort games :nunchuk:
So far DS1 is enjoying the games and gives him a good work out as he likes the boxing from wii sports, sword fighting, archery and table tennis from wii resort
I particularly like the table tennis, tennis, wakeboarding games... Not really the real thing but then again if you use the strokes as you would with the real game, you shd do relatively well for the wii games

Try Carrefour (Suntec), they even hv controllers in blue & pink col. Price $74. If u hv the POSB Everyday Credit card, can get 5% discount ie. $70.30. I bought my 3rd controller there cos' my DD wants a pink one. -

How is this Wii compared to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 ?
Its' a great game to bond the family. We juz bought our set last Nov & I'm having fun playing w both my kids esp the sports games, a real gd workout. U can even get muscles ache if u r not a regular exerciser. However, the graphics are more kiddy compared to Xbox360 esp if u like those car racing games which my DS is crazy over, Xbox has got more \"real\" images. Wii has got more games suitable for both boys & girls whereas Xbox games are more pron to boys. Can't comment much on Playstation 3 cos' we don't own one but games are quite limited & also more suitable for boys. -

You mean the Wiimote comes in blue and pink? Interesting but seems a bit expensive for that price. -
