hi sorry for the late reply.


i bought all the books. but we hardly use the math textbook. and it isn'tmuch of a help anyway because the math teachers make their own notes for us.

as for science, we hardly use the textbook but the textbook provides a lot of information, so does the history textbook. for chinese, we use the text book and for language arts (combined literature and english ) we need the text from the book animal farm. yepp. geography text book is necessary too.

so. i suggest you leave out the math textbook. and lemme check out some really good science guide books and get back to you later. i'm going to popular tomorrow.

and for the year one orientation, it's mostly about team bonding. it's 5 days long and there are no overnight stays. except for the last night where there'll be a night concert to round up the whole orientation.

the orientation is really great. you get really high. ;D HAHA.

now i know what u meant by u can really get high at DHS orientation.....
last friday's nite, all the way fr sch to home and till late nite,
gal still talking abt the orientation nite non-stop ........(dun listen also cannot, she kinda of rediffusion......non-stop)
and she added the last statment b4 sleep, \" this is my most happy day in my 12 yrs........\"
wow........i was surprised to hear that, as in the past, she had been saying that her happiest day was one of her birthday's party. things has change.......

btw, she still waiting for yr surprise visit leh.........

there are only 3 UG (after removing scouts)......
they wanna us to indicate 2 UG.......
so naturally GG is one of the choice, even thou my gal dont like any of the UG...............
this is something i don't like, unlike other schs whereby u can pick just any CCA.(apart fr IP sch, i think)
i am afraid that she would end up in one of the UG if she is unsuccessful in her PA selection

hi, i thought it is postponed to 20th? some classes are taking their sports trial today…hence the science and maths test is postponed. This was mentioned by Mr Chew on jan 8…

today sports trial lah.......was told will end at 6.30 p.m
actually why make it compulsary for all participants,
shd just let those who are interested to go for the sports trials and release the rest..........

hope u din go there at 3+, then must wait till 6+......... :shock:
fortunately, they allow parents to drive in and wait at the sch compund
as for last week's orientation, the timing not \"choon\" one, so hub ofthen went to the canteen and drink coffee .

and the maths and sci test will be on 20 jan
as for the STARS CCA selection will be on the 27 jan.

wonder why so quiet in this DHS thread
unlike in other IP schools thread whereby the parents are actively discussing abt the the new sch…
fr uniforms to subjects to traffic conditions…

prob the parents here are so informed that nothing needs to be discussed
or
the parents lost direction…getting blurr…dun know where to start to discuss …haha
