        Hi,

I will be sending my boy to this tuition centre called Apeiron Education Centre in Jurong West which is run and taught by ex-teachers but they only cater to primary school children. They are newly set up and I got the recommendation from my friend who is a teacher. You can always call them to find out if it suits you. The telephone number is 6674 2131.

Hope you are able to get a good one for your child:)

          hi shirleylau,

I think there was another thread about this centre. My cousin sent his kids to them in the past (when they were in primary level). Both did very very well for their PSLEs. But I hear again from others that it’s contingent on the tutors you actually get (no surprises there).

            hello shirleylau,

pardon me being direct but i personally feel that u should not send ur kid to the meow center at jurong west. i have a close friend who sent her secondary 2 child there for english and she withdrew within the same month! her feedback was that they love to mix students of all levels together! her child’s class has a mixture of sec 1 to 5 students in the same class and i really cannot understand how this can work for a kid. most importantly the fees they charge is almost equivalent to private 1-1 rate.

i mean if they can produce the results like a 1-1 i am ok, but i really dun see how a 1.5 hr lesson can accommodate lesson plan for a class with various levels.

just my 2 cents worth of thots…

                mummy of three:
I sent my children from jurong, direct bus to her place, if you don’t mind can let you know. But she’s full time tutor, not current school teacher.

                Can PM me the contact.
                Thanks.

DS attended P3 science at Meow. His SA1 results is excellent, 79 out of 80. Most of the time is 1 to 1 as no other students at the same timeslot. However, in 2nd half of the year, more students joined and teacher changed. Grades dropped during CA. DS didn’t like the new teacher so I pulled him out and is now preparing SA 2 with him myself. Conclusion is that quality teacher is most important. Meow should try harder to retain good tutors.
