after they talk about fungus infection, I think I better stay clear from pedicure.
These days I rarely go do Pedi, I stopped after I felt my nails look lifeless when the nail polish is removed. Still once or twice a year I pamper myself.
After reading this thread, :dowan: -
Was let out of the cage.
Squeezed in ME time to :
> do my hair (cut/wash) after almost two years
> try a manicure for the first time :yikes: ... didn't know cost that much.
(.... and the lady said, uh u just trimmed your nails issit?) Oops.
> to try out face mask (later tonight)
> buy new blusher and lipstick (better throw the ones at home )
Somehow tho, I have this nagging feeling that something is brewing at home.

What programmes did you plan for your kids?

yeah, some ME time! Elder gals watching TV after their short day in school. No one intends to do any school work today. And youngest one not due for pick up until 1pm.
I LOVE the long weekend ... it allows me to breathe a bit better ...

Thanks, icy_mama. :hugs:
Yes, I had a 'pretty' good day out. Yes, pretty good despite the text messages that came in between. I don't like to be rushed when I'm out. In fact, I don't want any calls or impatient texts asking me how long more..
All these years, (even those days still staying with ILs) I've never once called hubs when he was out with his friends or colleagues during his me time, not when he's having his me time here or overseas. Never troubled him with sick children or some emergency at home while he's out chillaxing (I can manage)... or even those wedding dinners that I never get to come along with, because there's no one to mind the children.. point is when you're out to have a good time, just go have a good time. It's ok, I'll just ignore his family's endless squabbles & his mom's snide remarks each time I'm out of my room.. All I hope was that during his me time, he'd get to de-tress, let his hair down and just have a good time so that he is more relaxed for the week ahead to spend with the family.
The least I hoped was when it was my turn to take time off, it'd be nice to have the same understanding.
When I mentioned the brewing I oredi had a few texts from him and while i was out and 1 from the girls' phone line. I was on my way back, walking home from the train station, with stuff that he asked me to get plus of course, my loot. :moneyflies:
I'm was oredi home cooking up a storm for my family whilst the rest of them were at the playground. But because of too many previous experiences with these instincts, I knew I won't be able to avoid this one.
