Welcome! It's surprising that this year there is balloting for SC between 1-2km.

        Hi zeemimi,

I was also surprised at this year P1 registration outcome. If my gal is to join in this year, she will need to undergo balloting.

Do you think it might get more competitive when they move back to their campus?

Do the children at kcpss speak good English? I had just heard from someone that many of the students have major grammar problems, just like other government schools. Could it probably be a nationwide issue that is systemic and hence it is the same everywhere?

Do you mean that you heard that many of the kcpps children have major grammar problem? Hope I did not understand your question wrongly.
Kcpps English std has been pegged at a higher level than the nation wide std. The p6 kids often say the psle English is easier than their school's English papers. At p1 they are trained to write short compo. :siao:
just last night my p2 was correcting my spoken English over dinner.
Sure, there will be kids weak in English. But it is not something that characterize kcpps kids generally.

Is there any recomended tuition for maths / english / chinese on weekends for primary 1 near Bishan?

Are any of your P1 kids having tuition at the moment?
I am unsure if my girl is comforable with more tuition courses over the weekend...since the timing for P1 during weekdays can be considered so much more compared to her Kindergarten days....
my girl went to berries for chinese and mpm for maths and she gotten very good results for both since.

Can any parents kindly share wat are carried out during Chapel sessions and wat are the other Christian values activities conducted in KCPPS e.g. Prayers before food etc.

No offenses intended but because we are not Christians and would like to understand better…TIA

                    Hi plyobaby,

I have no idea what goes on during the Chapel sessions coz we are not christian either. I do know that my gal came back telling me about God and King Solomon. So I believe they get to watch videos or hear stories about Jesus.

As for prayer before food, I don’t think they do that in school, as my gal did not pray before she has her meal at home.

Thanks CMUM, Chapel session is an hr every week rite?

Thot I saw somewhere that the teacher will enforced that they pray but forgotten was it before meals or morning prayers during assembly.

The Chapel is from 12.30pm to 1pm on every Fri.

I am not too sure if they have prayer during assembly. Will check with my gal tomorrow.
