What can I do? I heard a extreme case that the boy has not been going to school for months due to his ipad abuse. I worried the same thing happened to my kid.

He uses ipad after school for "homework", however, the group/class imessage, twitter, facebook keeps pop on. Sometimes the messages re-twittered or re-facebooked are dirty, so dirty. Even in the class message group, curse language is anywhere. All leads to family quarrels.
Anybody knows how to quit this ipad programme? Any advices for school transfer? Thanks!

Sorry, the teacher failed to release details for privacy concern.
I keep withdrawing his ipad and returning him for homework or projects. It is really annoying. I almost restrict every apps, but imessage is unstoppable. So far, his textbooks are almost new. As to GPA, gosh!
What can I do?
Is NYGH still using ipad? Just during school time?

Any idea whether there is still exemption skeme in RVHS? FES ? Btw, I think there are quite a no. Of relief teachers in RV who are not even trainee teachers. Furthermore, they are teaching for more than a term and I heard that they even set common test questions?

The DSA approach towards securing a 'seat' with a learning institution of choice is not a good option if you do not have a balanced strength in both academics and CCA. RVHS curriculum as a SAP IP institution requires the student to be well 'equipped' with a balanced performance in these areas. This holds true for most top institution, we would not want the kid to be demoralized in his/her school work as a result of being unable to cope with he intensive programme. Do refer to the school website for details on the promotion criteria of each learning year. SAP IP requires utmost discipline and the right aptititude to embark on this programme with the institution.

Indeed. My DD is overall about 90% and above. If she maintains this till next year psle, RVHS would be a good option for dsa for her or so we thought.

My dd is in year 1 n is struggling with her maths. Is there any parents who can lend/give/sell RV maths exam/revision papers? Desperately needed by my dd for more practises… I can personally collect them at your convenience…Please help…

RV has done quite well in this year Singapore Mathematical Olympiad, especially for the junior section with 10 students getting into special second round. One student in the junior section got into the top 30 position-a first time for a long while.


Looking forward to RV putting up better and better performance in the future with more students talented in this area DSAing into the school.
