      Hi cherry gal

So only after we receive the good news then inform the current sch, then how soon the child can attend sch will depends on new sch?
No reason was given for my case. In fact, two parents (me and another one) were doing the withdrawal at the same time. I bought all books and 3 sets of uniforms and 2 sets of PE for the previous sch. Most of the books (except for Chinese) are all different but all that won't matter much if u can get into the desired sch, don't u think so!

Can I check if anyone had waitlist at 2 schools n the 2nd choice called to inform of vacancies. Will you give up n continue waiting for 1st school given it’s walking distance and a higher standard school but it’s a more popular sch & chances of withdrawal is lower? Anyone has such concern?

Also what’s the process of withdrawal in p2cs registration. I had applied online. If by wed, we know that there’s no chance even for balloting, 1 parent go to applied sch to withdraw, and another at the other sch with all the doc (incl both nric) to apply?

Like to ask those whose kids managed to transfer to their first choice sch say after they started p1,

So u have to buy the new sch uniform, change the whole set of textbooks and exercise books, socks etc...

Do u have to give a reason to the current sch ur withdrawal reason?
            Hi Ryes

No need. My boy transferred after T1. I think what most of everyone is saying is quite valid. After the ballot out, I put myself on wait list, and i think i called the school almost every other week. Helped tat a friend of mine told me there was a withdrawal as one of the kids was changing school. so i called again and pester and the p said ok....no reason given to the old school. just a letter from the new one saying \"xxx has been given a place in my school. pls arrange for transfer\".

As for the uniform and books...heck lor...he can get in i damn happy liao..i gave it all away to my fren whose kid was going to the school the following year. hahaha

Good luck to all mummies and daddies!

              Hi Hobbes

I read some call the sch every other day.
But har…when we call what do we say or ask?

Can we request to see the principal if we walk in to sch like that or must
Make appointment ah? Getting desperate here.

I’m worried in the case where orientation starts then buy books buy uniforms then scarly the good news comes along.

Also, I’m thinking if put two waitlist at two schs, if my choice school didnt call and the 2nd choice sch call is another dilemma to transfer or carry on waiting.

                1. Why should you worry? If the good news comes along, I'm sure you will be more than willing to give up the books and uniforms.

                2. There is no dilemma. If the 2nd choice school calls, you should just take it. Otherwise, it will never call again (and the 1st choice may never call too). Then, you'll be wondering why you never take it.

                    Floppy,

Is it possible to accept the 2nd school cos it called first? Then a few months later the 1st school called and so can still change to 1st school?

Asking on behalf of a friend, thanks! 😄

Should be by today or tomorrow, probably delayed by the long weekend.
