Thanks for letting me know πŸ™‚

btw, I am thinking of signing up my girl for choir too for cca, provided that there is school bus arrangement. Need to check first.

For those of you with lower primary kids participating in cca, do you rely on school bus or bring them yourselves ?

      Thank you.

      Rgds,
      Ming
Hi, I checked w my CCA bus today, unfortunately no CCA bus for children in PM session 😞

        Hi Parents of RGPS girls,

Just realised this is a very good platform to clear my many doubts as my little girl is rather unreliable in answering all my questions *roll eyes*. I have a girl in P1 and another in Sec 1. I have been going to my older girl's sec sch forum for parents and forgot about the little one

Anyone knows if the P1s will have their SA1? Thank you in advance πŸ™‚

Not too late, FireflyMom. Kudos to you to deal with 2 kids with equally demanding adjustment period...

Yes, there'd still be SA1 this year.

I kaypoh here a bit: hubby recently met up with an old colleague (staying near RGPS) who have two daughters (P4 and P1) in RGPS. He shakes his head when he talks about his daughter’s teachers who really practise "Teach less", "Learn more" on your own.

                  Hugs to you.

Yes, we were told that many children have tuition for all subjects. So poor thing for the children.

SA1 is the mid-year exams. RGPS does not have CAs, only 2 SAs a year. SA = Semestral Assessment.
It is true that teachers don't really teach in RGPS though I have to say that my girl's Eng and Math teachers last year were VERY good. Her Science teacher was quite hopeless and in P5, her Math teacher (another Math teacher) actually had a \"strike\" for a week as a punishment for the class as he found them noisy. And that happened just 2 weeks before her SA.

Firefly, is ur gal in p6 too?

Oh MY GOD ! getting jitters.. now that my dd is in p6. I am quite fearful. I noe it's juz a 2nd wk but she hasn't been getting as much exercises as my other friends in other schs. She juz told me yest that last yr p5 best class gotten all As and A* for P5 eng coz they did tons of mock exams. I've got feedback frm graduated parents of p6 last yr that GREAT attention given to GEP & Best class.. mainstream class DIY. her gal gotten 205 and now end up in neighbourhood sch in Yishun.

I am really curious how the mainstream classes did. What's the average aggregate. GEP classes are deemed to be top students but the majority are still the mainstream. They ought to be given equal treatment rite? *sigh*
