Wao, this is good news! Any idea what the premium is like? The hotline is busy.

My boy punched someone in the tummy last Sat and the guy was understandably livid. I was apologising profusely and luckily he didn't press charges. People do forgive when its a kid but when they get older, it will get more problematic.

Oh man, definitely want such a plan if anything goes awry. knock wood.

          Hi,

I just past the information to my sis in law. In her words, she smsed: O thank you soooo much u r such a blessing as many autistic parents are looking for one! I will pass this on.

Thank you for such crucial information. I am sure Denise Phua would want to know or may already know. ๐Ÿ™‚

Krudos to NTUC and Tan Suieh Chieh.

The information is hot from the oven. In fact, I got the news from ARC. So definitely she knows. ๐Ÿ˜„

Now that one has come on board, there will be more to follow in time to come.

Managed to find out, the premium per year is:

                Plan A: $198
                Plan B: $352

This is regardless of childโ€™s age.

Thanks for the good news. But I wonder, if I but this policy, will the other insurance companies found out abt my sonโ€™s condition n terminate his other policies? I bought those polices before he was diagnosed.

Anyone know how they define 'autistic'? What sort of diagnosis is required? Does it cover Asperger's syndrome? And for normal insurance, how will they decide if 'autism' is a reason for denying a claim? I can't find this info on their website.

It shouldn't be terminated since the policies were bought before the diagnose was done.
You can check with the ntuc income to reassure..

Yes, it wont be terminated. Cos these policies are bought before your son get diagnosed. But if you want to do an upgrade to existing policies to a higher coverage, you might be turned down or anything to do with brain will be excluded. That's what my insurance agent told me.

Needless to say, buying new policy is even harder now. I already have an accident plan for my son.

Wondering if I buy this, will it overlaps with the existing accident policy? In the event of accident, will I be able to claim from both sides?
