Yup, I went for guided tour in May and was so happy with the school until I casually asked the admin if there is bus service to Queenstown and she told no. Called bus co and even bus driver, they also confirmed no bus to our place. One mommy fr this forum, stayin my area told me she has to book taxi to send her girl to MCS but eventually transferred her out.
You mean got such thing as in dont have transport to your place one?
So where is your girl at?
My girl is going SMPS. Wanted MCS initially coz it's very near to her bro's school. -

Dear Ryes,
Hi hi lil_jade,lil_jade:
Dear Ryes,
Congrats! You finally can heave a deep sigh of relief!
Canossa will be a wonderful school for your gal and I'm sure you've researched and chosen the best for her for phase 2CS! And if your 1st choice school calls, that'll be a bonus!!
How did it go for your fren? Which sch did your fren go to register at?
As expected, she went for Marymount... But now in retrospect, good too, else she'll create a balloting situation in Canossa if she hops over, and so create another week of anxiety for the Canossa parents lol! -
Hi all Kiasu grandmasters
Am looking at phase 3 now !
Please suggest…which of the following schools should be better in terms of academics n overall development - eunos primary / east coast primary/ griffiths.
we stay at bedok reservoir road and vying at the schools nearby. Why is Eunos primary school not so popular this year ? Any particular reason ?
Also any view about bedok west primary school ? -
phtthp:
I wonder how they going to operate properly with such low take-up rate. It's quite demoralising to the staff there too.
23 is less than 1 class, of 30 pupils.gvyong:
Hong Kah - 150 places, only 23 filled after 2C. In P2CS, 127 places avail, ZERO filled.
Worst pri sch in the nation? The principal should be sacked.
Maybe can throw out a list of unpopular schools, top 10 from the bottom.
Moe said \"all schools are good\" ?
Then, moe should investigate in detail -
Why are all these 10 schools unpopular ?
There must be some reason behind.
And is it only unpopular, for this year?
How about past years ? Also like that ? Why ? -
Over time, under the current system, I believe all the so called "good schools" will have only SC and no PR/Foreigners. The not so popular schools will become more vibrant then with more nationalities?

It is already happening - some have a more 'international' co-hort than the others. -

Marymount Convent has 41 children registered in Phase 2Cs vying for 25 vacancies. 16 children will have to be balloted out. I didn't expect Marymount Convent to have so many applicants.

When I called at 4pm, the lady said, its 30 vs 17 seats for more than 2km.
There were only 8 staying less than 2km. So given total number is 41, there were 3 more who came to register from 4-430pm. But I dont know these 3 stay which distance category.
If it's more than 2km, then is
33 vs 17 seats
If it's less than 2km, then is
30 vs 14 seats..
This is similar to what I went thru balloting in phase 2c at another sch where
26 ballot for 10 seats.
Guess what..I am in the same position as you. I just went thru balloting in phase 2C where 43 ballot for 22 seats. And now the probability is almost the same! Unbelievable!!
