Hi,
Can let your boy try "Hua Shen Tou dang" ie. groundnuts head soup - Can buy $2-3 from Chinatown mkt (they can give you cooking instructions)/ Tiong bahru market, must clean properly, discard leaves.
Boil 1-2 hours in big pot : All the rest - groundnuts & attached branches/twigs with hongzao (red dates), gouqizi (wolfberries) , mi zao (plums) with pork ribs & water.
Good for growing boys to consume from pre-teens to puberty. Note : Not for girls! -

No.Have not seen doctor because it came so suddenly. He told me it is probably stress related. I do not want to do much today but this boy ah...wants to cover as much as possible, including today's MT oral topic Sports Day. I stopped him and force him to nap.happyheart:
Do you still do any MT revision today? I find it is too stressful to pile on a day before. btw, DS came down with flu suddenly :roll: I have to force him to try to nap.

Does he have fever? Body ache?[/quote]I think give him Redoxon Vitamin C (effervescent) 1 tablet. Drink plenty of warm water and wear warm clothings when sleeping. I think let him revise if he wants to because if you force him to nap, his mind still cannot rest.
There are good medicines that can help running nose but I cannot remember the name off-hand :frustrated: . In my opinion, Panadol Flu and Lemsip are not effective enough. Our GP usually gives Prednisolone but I think it needs prescription. -
Benefits of Groundnuts soup (I hope my translation is correct)

(3) Gao Dan Bai - high protein
Suitable for adults too. shop owner also claim "anti cancerous, anti-aging"
