My dd told me, her MT conversation question was something like that, ＂你看过你的朋友进行什么有趣的活动吗。请讲出你的感受？。My dd remembered her MT teacher told them before, if the question asked is somewhat close to the picture earlier (today's pics is abt 运动会), then hv to avoid talking abt 运动会 again, otherwise there's a tendency u will be repeating same storyline or phrases again, unless u r very powerful in your vocab and r able to use totally different 成语 or 词汇 for the conversation part. My dd Chinese standard only can ＂骗吃骗吃＂ type, so she chose to talk about her friends doing a interesting performance for the teachers on Teachers Day, hope she was right. :xedfingers:

Hmm...how come DD's Mt teacher didn't say this to them b4? DD mentioned the same sports day again and true enough she used back some of the vocab words she used in the picture discussion, with the additional two new phrases. Anyway it's over liao. hopefully she won't lose too many marks.

Just checked with ah boy: sch teachers also said the same - do not use back the pic as a base for conversation - not original idea, creativity lacking.

Take note for tmr oral session.

Still can make up in LC and written paper. Jiayou.

DS tried to nap but could not fall asleep at all. He still has blocked nose and a cracking voice so I gave him medicine and made him drink a lot of warm water. It seems to soothe his throat and he 乖乖 went to bed at 8.30pm. Luckily, DS is in S2 tomorrow so can sleep in later. Hope he is well by morning. Thank you for caring. :snuggles:

Give him some manuka for the throat. Fortunately he is in the 2nd session, he can sleep in. If need to, can give him some paracetamol to help him relax better tonight.

Hi ngl,

Prednisone is a steroid…tightly controlled medication.
I get it from GP only when I have a bad throat (painful when swallow) or antibiotics.

The first day is over…let go of the pressure because kids do have some idea what to expect 2moro. Cheer kids up by telling them Saturday is NO work day…go for ice cream, or head out to the mall to get the mind off exams.
Take care of yourselves too.

You are right! DS had EL oral today, 1st batch. Although EL is his strongest subject, he said his heart kept pounding, even after he left the oral room. I am glad his weaker Language is tomorrow. At least he knows 'what to expect' and hence may be less nervous.

Take it easy…the worst will be over…oral carries high weightage but don’t stress the child out…bcos the examiner is a stranger.
