I visited the little professors and pro-teach opposite hougang mall too. Husband is a bit put off by the fact the facility is a bomb shelter, where there is no window. Little professors is well-lit, while pro-teach nearby is bit dimm.
We checked out Raffles Student care at Hougang green too. The operator provide free fetching service from school to centre. Currently there are 3 palm view student in the centre. My husband and I find the teachers are quite friendly, but facility looks bit \"cramp\". The student ratio for this centre is good, as in 1 teacher to 10-15 students about. (little professors and other that i checked, have >20 students in class).
I will check out Glory BASC, and Dexus later (these are few student care that Palm view bus operator contact person quoted- i asked him for existing drop off points for palm view student after school).
Appreciate if anybody in forum can help to provide more information about any centre used. Thanks.
Looping, thank you for the very useful information. Yes, the fact that little professor is housed in a bomb shelter is not very ideal. Also, the bathrooms area when we visited also seem not so well maintained, and the cooking area is at a corner outside the bathrooms.
Will explore the other centres that you mentioned, thanks again! -
Can’t wait to know all the mummies and daddies on orientation day…Getting excited for my gal.
-
glad that daughter get into this school in P2Cs phase.
Now, next things to settle is student care. Anybody know which student care centre that existing Palm view student goes?
I did check out with Joy Connection (next to Hougang 1), there is a palm view student there, but the bus journey will take up to 1 hour. Bus operator from palm view only have 2 bus to serve student care centres in sengkang and hougang. Hopefully next year with more student intake, the bus service can be improved.
Any recommended student care, near school?
Hi, My gal is currently at Joy Connection Student care center. She is P1 at Palm View currently.
The journey from School to Student care have been cut down to 30min after change of the Bus operator. But the bus fare was slightly high. As it is a small van instead of Bus. But we are ok with it as the timing shorten to half as compare to previous.
Hope it will help u. -
thanks \"bless u\".
The existing bus operator (the one stated in Palm View Primary homepage) just reply me with a list of student care that they served in Hougang.
1. Block 426- Lam Learning, Little Professors
2. Block 439- Dexus Student Care
3. Block 540- Glory Aftercare.
He did mentioned that quite a lot of student go to Morningstar in Sengkang (block 261)
I will check out Glory and compared it to Joy Connection.
I was asking Vice Principal when I registered for P2Cs, about student care service in school itself. She said there is a plan to have it in Q12014, but there is no firm date yet. Hope there is enough vacancy, when they launch the service (it's bit waste to have a big school compound, which is not fully utilized, till 5 years later :P). -
Hi looping,
Thanks a lot for your sharing. It's really helpful and informative. I am staying in Hougang Ave-6 and my gals are attending the Global Art class at The Little Professional. Find the staff and teachers there are quite helpful. But the only thing that i am not really please with is the facility which the toilet and the kitchen are not very well maintained and dim.
Please share with us about Glory if you happened to visit the center. :thankyou: -
Hi, I have registered my son during phase 2cs. So it's confirm that sc within 1-2km doesn't need to ballot? How's the school like? I'm pretty excited to send my boy there, it seems like the principal would get involve with interacting with the students and parents which I find it very rare but good.
any parents going down for the ballot next week? -
