Comparing English Enrichment Programmes

Thx for sharing! What would you recommend for Pri level?Personally, I think ICL for P1 is not really as fascinating as compared to their preschool programme. But I guess it might depend on the Teacher as well.
On the materials content alone, I would say its pretty close to what you in most schools and the usual assessment books. If you're looking for \"extra\" edge, then its not the most ideal choice. -
Thanks Dino & sweet baby! Any idea what is the fee for learning point? Any comment at Bt Timah branch?

P1 headstart fee is at $390, if I remember correctly. -
May I ask if Learning Point is suitable for upper primary (P5/P6) ? Heard that the kids need to sit for an Entrance Test before joining the program… Is the test very difficult ?
Has anyone tried LP at Thomson Plaza ? Thank you… -
Hi Parents,
My P3 gal is very bad with comprehension.
Can anyone advise how to help her improve? Any english tuition centre or enrichment class to recommend that can help her?
I desperately want to try to see how I could assist her before her final exam. She didn't very well in her comprehension part of her mid-year exam and now only manages to get half mark out of 6 in her recent test.
:scared: I let her do assessment papers and go through the wrong answers with her and the passage but didn't seem to work.. -
Sorry but I cannot seem to find any posts regarding Mindchamps English Programme.
Any comments on them? Are they able to help a child learn to read or is I Can Read a better programme?
Thanks -

Same problem I have. Comprehension really bringing her scores down. I am at my wits end! -

There are plenty reading programme around. Each programme has it's own strength. Visit the centres, check & understand through the programme to see if it helps you to decide which programme might be suitable to your kid?Sorry but I cannot seem to find any posts regarding Mindchamps English Programme.

The only problem these days, enrichment programmes are getting secretive, they either only describe what they do, or just show u one worksheet and expect the parents to know whether its good or not.
